Part 28: The New Couple

        As lunch passed by it seemed the conversation Leorio Kurapika and Gon had lingered on the topic of Killua. It was mostly Gon bragging about how Killua's hair was super soft, and how he loved Killua's chill personality. There was little Gon could complain about when it came to Killua. Leorio and Kurapika smiled and listened to Gon ramble on about his official first love. He was in the middle of talking about how humongous Killua's house was when he felt a hand placed on top of his head and his hair being ruffled. Last he check the time was 11:56pm, which was almost halfway through lunch so he could guess who was behind him. "Leorio, I heard your dumb ass is in gifted." Killua said in a joking tone. "No way right?" He added, placing his bag on the ground and sitting in the seat next to Gon. "Well Mr. Leorio over here is actually really smart and hard working." Leorio crossed his arms and held his head high. Kurapika and Gon looked at each other and bursted out into laughter, which Killua soon joined in on. "Ugh I'm so tired today." Killua said. Gon raised his eyebrows and made a concerned, caring face. "Well if you wanna take a nap I'll wake you up at the end of lunch." He suggested. Killua made a goofy smile and nodded then he put his head on the table, using his arms as a pillow.

In art class Gon and Killua continued to openly flirt despite Kurapika's warning which caught some of the kids in their classes attention. Neon, Kurapika's friend and the person Killua had spend his time on the field trip with walked up to them and started a conversation nearing the end of class. "How have you guys been, feels like we haven't talked in a while." She asked. Gon chose to ignore her but killua responded with something brief and then he returned to being in his and Gon's own world. Kurapika smiled, "Sorry about them, they are super close these days." He didn't want her to feel bad. She smiled and nodded. "Well it's good to see them getting along. After the field trip our suspicions were confirmed that they liked each other. Anyways..... how's it's going with Leorio." She whispered to Kurapika, making sure the last part was extra quiet. "Uh yeah, not bad. I don't think I've made much progress though." Kurapika slightly lowered his voice but he knew gon and Killua weren't going to be paying attention to anything other then each other. "You should honestly just date me." Neon smirked. He had heard this suggestion from her many times and every time he would answer with the same phrase. "You know I don't like women."

            The rest of the day had flown by. Gon wasn't looking forward to gym but when he found out Retz was home ill he couldn't help but feel a little relieved. Gon stood outside Killua's locker, their designated meeting spot for walking home together, he watched many people pass by but none of which were Killua. He really want to walk home with killua, today especially. Gon took out his phone a typed a quick message.
Gon: Hey, weren't we walking home together today?

Killua: Sorry thought I told you. My parents got home so I was told to get home quick.

Gon: Ok, I hope seeing them goes well. Call me later if you can.

Killua: Yup, bye.

Gon smiled at his phone as he typed a message containing a short goodbye. As Gon made his way to the exit of the school he put his hands in a praying motion. "Please, let this go ok." He mumbled to himself and sighed.

When he had got home the house was empty. He knew he should have tried to invite Kurapika and Leorio over to take advantage of no one being home. Gon slowly walked, swaying side to side to his room. His mind was only filled of Killua. He hadn't really noticed it till recently but this was how it had been almost since the day killua him had met. Deciding to catch up on the homework which had pilled up over the past week, he pulled out his desk chair and sat at his desk. This is how he was going to wait for Killua's call.

Sorry it's short as heck, feeling a little uninspired this week and when I'm like that my stuff comes out bad. Imma continue writing rn but the next chapter is Killua POV so I wanted to make a new one.
