Third POV
"Ok class, your chapter five project is due in two weeks, but first we have to assign groups." The physics teacher announced in a familiar "I could care less" voice to the class.
Silent groans went around the room as the teacher started to write down the instructions of the project on the whiteboard, making Rob want to literally bang his head into his desk.
"You will have to create some type of test or activity based on what we have learned in chapter five. You can use whatever you need to, as long as it follows the standards that I am looking for." The teacher read off a paper, his voice sounding tired.
The teacher slammed his book closed loudly, causing everyone's eyes to snap open as startled expressions crossed their faces.
"Now with that being said, I will now read off everyone's partners. You must work with them, or both of you don't get a grade."
More groans and sighs sounded, impatience filling the room.
"Walter Simmons and Gerald Smith....." The teacher started, students trying to hold back their disappointment for their classmates sake.
Rob felt the same way as everyone else. Nobody in this particular class were close to each other, more so on focusing on their studies rather than making friends. He bets that every pair assigned is going to be awkward as hell.
"Hannah Prince and Gracie Chan...."
Rob heard chatter brew among his classmates, but he tried to ignore them as he turned up his music that was blasting through earbuds, which he secretly had in his ears.
"Jackie Wang and Rain Lee."
"Yay!" He barely heard the cheer of what he was assuming was the newly assignment pair.
"Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson."
"What?!" Rob stood up, seeing another person a few rows ahead of him do the same.
Kristen? Is he that oblivious that he didn't even know someone like her was in this class?
"You got to be kidding me." Kristen exasperated, running her hands through her dirty blond hair, shooting Rob a dirty look.
"Yeah, you got to be kidding me." Rob repeated, the same amount of surprised and pissed as Kristen was.
"Sorry, but this is an opportunity to get to know other students, and you and Stewart have many things in common.......grade wise at least." The physics teacher whispered the last part, smiling a pained grin at the outraged pair.
Rob sighed loudly, massaging his temples as he glared over at Kristen, who did the same back.
The tension was so obvious that all the other students stay quiet as Kristen and Robert had a silent staring contest.
The bell eventually rang, which had every other student dash out of the classroom as quickly as they could, leaving the angry pair alone. Even the teacher stepped out for a lunch break.
Silence came in between them, neither daring to open their mouth or utter one word.
"Are you going to give me the silent treatment forever or are you going to talk?" Rob scoffed, growing annoyed at the silence.
Kristen scoffed back, "I'd rather stab my eyes out than be anywhere near you."
"Well this thing is worth 50% of this quarter's grade, so we have no choice." Rob rolled his eyes, putting his backpack on his back.
