Isen is Simp

After school on a warm sunny day, Isen, Blyke and, Remi were heading to Blyke's dorm. They were planning on playing Mario Cart together before things got hectic with the Safe House. Midterms were right around the corner and because of that, many students sought the Safe House as a space to study or just pass out.

While walking towards the street Remi spotted Cecile going to a cafe near the dorms and commented on it, "Huh, I don't think I've seen Cecile go to that cafe before. I go to that cafe with Elaine every Saturday."

Isen immediately stopped walking and spit out the orange juice he was drinking, almost spraying it on a random couple who gave him weird looks. He looked flushed, his face red and eyes slightly crazed. He started to question Remi intensely, "Cecile?! Where? What? When? What is she doing at the cafe? Is she going to meet someone? Maybe if I follow her I could find some stuff out............" And now he was rambling like a maniac.

Remi was a little confused but she shocked Isen anyway. "Ow! Remi what was that for?" Isen whined, rubbing his red arm, he complained that it might bruise with an exaggerated frown. She pouted at him, upset at his priorities but not surprised in the slightest.

"You can't just go and stalk her! It's rude and creepy." she scolded him

Isen looked to Blyke, hoping for him to back him up but, "Sorry man, Rem is right this time. You're a creep." This led to a 5-minute argument if Isen was a creep. "I will tell the person the secret. So join me or get your secret exposed." Isen threatened Blyke, Blyke's face turned pale as a sheet before he deflated and went back to a healthy colour. "Fine, I'm mildly curious how this is going to turn out and, how does she get all the good information before you Isen? For the past month, her articles have been way better than yours since they're way more interesting than yours."

"That's what I've been saying for the past month!" he complained out loud

John and Sera walk towards them, coming back from Woaba Boba. Isen's face lights up when he comes up with a "great" idea (tbh it's a stupid one but what are crackheads for? Stupid ideas!)

He walks up to John with determination and steals him away from Seraphina. Which, he'll probably regret later but that's future Isens' problem. "John I need you to help me with uh............finding information on Cecile. We saw her walk into the cafe near the dorms. Think of it as revenge for all the other times Cecile has gotten blackmail on people." He tried to convince John, giving him his best puppy dog eyes. John was contemplative but his face remained passive, mulling the idea over his mind.

"I'll buy boba for you and Sera for 2 weeks," he quickly added so John would help him.

"Deal. But, what are you trying to find from Cecile?"

"Uh-" "John, we all know that Isen is a simp for Cecile. He's probably going to check if she's seeing anyone and to see how she gets all the more interesting article ideas." Blyke explained, Isen jumped three feet in the air at the sudden appearance. "Dude! Don't go exposing me like that! I am not a simp! I'm just a curious man." He argued, Blyke just smirked and shrugged.

"Sera! I'm going to head to the cafe with Blyke and Isen. Don't wait up for me!" John yells to Sera who is talking to Remi, she nodded and the two girls head to Sera's dorm room.

The three of them head to the cafe, Isen activated his ability to keep track of Cecile, John already stored Isen's ability and has it activated as well.

They see Cecile waiting at an outdoor table.

In the most not suspicious way possible they shuffle into the farthest table from Cecile. The couples already seated look at the awkward form of the three guys hiding under the red-head's sweater, some laugh others ignore them.

"Who do you think she's meeting?" Blyke asks after they successfully sit at the table without being detected. John shrugs but Isen is rambling, something he does when he's nervous. "Maybe it's a friend, what if she's more than friends with the friend. What if we're spying on a date?? I mean sure it would be a great article 'Cecile finding true love| Not clickbait' but I want to-I mean maybe it's a family member. Yea a family member, totally a family member."

His rambling is cut short when they see someone approaching Cecile. A hooded figure, but judging from the built it's a male.

Isen looked alarmed, his eyes sharp. She must be caught up in something bad. Before Blyke and John can stop him he jumps up from the table and runs straight at the mystery guy. John being able to sense auras, senses a familiar aura. His eyes widen, realizing who it is and is quick to stop Isen from attacking the guy.

Sadly, he isn't able to make it in time and Isen has already punched the guy in the face. Cecile looks ready to kill Isen. The hood falls away revealing a familiar mop of hair. The guy stumbles back and his face is finally revealed to the trio. The guy that Isen punched is....................

Holden.

"Holden?!" Blyke yells in shock as he runs over there . Isen looked confused, looking between Cecile and the fallen Holden who was wrongly punched in the face. (tsk, tsk, Holden didn't deserve that Isen 😒)

A case of mistaken identity is the story he'll tell Arlo if he finds out-

"Isen! What are you doing here?! And why did you attack Holden?" Cecile yells at him. He flinches and scratches the back of his neck, sheepish before answering, "I was wondering why you were coming to this cafe so I followed you. I thought Holden was a shady dude trying to give you drugs or something something so I attacked him haha. Sorry, Holden." He apologizes guiltily.

Holden is still on the ground and just nods his head. Blyke offers him a hand and he gladly takes it.

"I was only giving Cecile the biggest news in the school. I follow Arlo every day, you experience some crazy shit. I saw Cecile in the hall where she was scaring- I mean talking to the mid-tiers that were selling drugs. She asked me if I experience this type of stuff often and I said yes. She has blackmail on me from my first year so she said that she wouldn't put that out if I tell her all the crazy crap that I see." Holden explains to Isen.

The three boys simultaneously say, "ohhhhhhhhhh.......... that makes sense."

"Idiots, you three are idiots," Cecile slaps her hand over her face and says exasperatedly.
