Synopsis:
♥️♥️♥️
"You'll be alright." Chance wiped away the tears I've been holding back.
"No I won't, I'm going back home... not even home, more like a wrecked house." Cherry Creek camp wasn't the escape from my broken life, Chance was, and now I'm leaving him once again.
"Lane, listen to me. Your family isn't who you're born into, it's where your heart belongs, so I'll be your family."
"Promise?"
" When don't I ever keep my Promises, Delanee Henderson?" His bright smile lit up under the moonlight as I held on to him, cherishing every moment of his comfort as the crisp waters swayed under our feet.

♥️It all started at Cherry Creek's 2004 Jr. Camp when Chance Freestone took Delanee Henderson's hand and embarked on their first summer adventure. Chance wasn't just an ordinary friend; he was Delanee's serenity, joy and first love.

For ten years their friendship has blossomed ever summer as they moved from the Jr camp to the Youth and now they are spending their last year at Cherry Creek's senior camp, reserved for every camper's last year before college- with more freedom, life and adventure.

However, for the past ten years, Delanee had been falling deeper and deeper in love with Chance but, it remained a secret. This is the last year to confess the love she had since the first day she met him, but what will happen when she sees him this final summer? What family secrets will be revealed? But most importantly, how will Delanee find where she belongs in such a chaotic world? ♥️

Review:

I hate long synopsis-es. esses? Whatever. That one in particular was extremely long, and spoilt half the book so I hope you didn't read it word for word.

I found this book to be a good read. The style of writing could have been better, although it certainly didn't seem rushed.

The characters were well developed, although I feel that there were a bit too many side characters, or just characters in general, and usually when that happens they aren't too good or have many scenes.

The plot is cliché with the whole best-friend-turned-crush-turned-boyfriend angle. There were some loopholes and things I felt weren't properly done, as in something that should've affected a character more didn't affect the character as much, which was disappointing.

It's a book I suggest you read, but don't put it on your must reads.

Happy Reading!

Got exams coming up on my birthday 😫😱 so I gotta study 😫. I'm making them way shorter because some people think they're too long and I can't say too much without ruining the book and you need time to read them because I know not many people read at my speed.

I will post again (way sooner than this I hope) but damn.ed exams are in my way.

😊
