Synopsis:
"Y-you," she stuttered, staring at the handsome man sitting on the sleek black throne. "you're..."

He rolled his eyes, waving his hand impatiently and said, "Hades. Come on, say it with me. Ha-des."

"Hades," Ariel breathed out, still not believing the sight before her. Every picture she had seen of the gods had not depicted Hades' beauty. The god sitting before her was not a crusty old man with a white beard; no , he was a Calvin Klein model.

"Yes," Hades clasped his hands together and grimaced, "the God of Death and riches; that's me." Ariel nodded, still refusing to believe but knowing she had to and Hades' grimace turned even bitter, "And you, darling, will be staying with me for quite some time."

Review:

I actually read this ages ago ( not really ages but after my last review kinda ages ) and I fell in love because it's PERFECT.

I actually wish I'd written this book because I feel stupid for not thinking of this like fml.

The mythology in the book is a bit different from the actual myths, but no one gives a damn because Hades is finer than icing sugar. (you get that reference I love you) His character is quite complicated and has loads of mood swings. He makes some sh*tty decisions that drastically change the plot but he's hot so it's all good.

Ariel has a bit of an odd backstory and a lot of people will judge her for how she acts. She's really nice and understandable ( I find that a redeeming quality in book characters ) and she's part seductress.

( If I didn't mention it before , there are a few steamy and very descriptive scenes in this book ahem Endeka)

I really liked the plot of this book for the most part but after about 20 chapters it starts becoming a bit weird and I didn't really like it.

As far as side characters go, Adrianne is extraordinarily loyal to Hades and is a good person to talk to. Persephobitch on the other hand...

I love this book so so so much and I wish there was a sequel but you can't get everything you wish for.

I do hope you give this book a chance even if you don't really care much for Greek myths.

Happy Reading,
