You patiently waited outside on your front door step. Leorio should be here any minute. You thought to yourself. You were pretty nervous since this was you and Leorios first date. It was weird since you'd been friends with him, Gon, Killua, and Kurapika for a while now but even though you had a crush on him you'd never felt this nervous around him. 

Your heart skipped a beat and your train of thoughts stopped when you saw his car pull up to the front of your house. Giving him a small wave, you stepped off your porch and started walking over to his car. A light blush grew on your face when he stepped out of the car and walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for you. "Here." He smiled and signaled for you to get in. After you thanked him he got in the drivers seat and you too drove off to the theater.

The car ride there was pretty pleasant. You were nervous it'd be awkward, but it wasn't. The two of you sat there and talked about the kind of stuff you usually talk about when your not on a date. Leorio also mentioned that the movie he picked out for you to see was a horror movie. "Damn Leorio, why'd you pick a horror movie? You might get scared like you did last time we all watched a horror movie." You teased. "Hey! Not fair- Besides, that movie was way scarier than the one we're going to see."

When you got there Leorio offered to buy you some candy. When you said that you were fine he bought it anyway. The two of you walked into the theater and got a seat around the middle. Before the movie started, Leorio wrapped his arms around you. "If you get too scared you can always cry into my shoulder." He teased you as payback for making fun of him in the car. You gave him a light punch in the shoulder. "Right back at you, Oreo man." He rolled his eyes at the nickname. 

The movie theater didn't have many people in it, so you thought Leorio just picked out a bad movie that no one wanted to see, but that was definitely not the case. The reason no one was there was because everyone was too scared to see it on a big screen. The movie that Leorio said was not that bad was actually taking place in one of the scariest movies of the year. 

At one point a scene scared you so bad you jumped and grabbed Leorios jacket. He laughed as his arm draped from you chair to your shoulder. "Wipe that smirk off your face cause I damn well you're just as scared as I am." You sulked. Leorio opened his mouth to make another sly remark but before he could say anything another jump scare popped up causing him to jump and even scream a little. You tried to hold in your laugh as he wrapped his other arm around you. 

When the movie was over and the theater lights turned on Leorio let go of you as he started to get up and you had to admit, you missed the feeling of him being so close. On the way back you poked fun at each other about how scared the both of you were. 

When he pulled up to your house he parked his car and unbuckled his seatbelt. "Here, I'll walk you up to your door." He smiled before getting out of the car and rushing over to your side to open your door before you got out. 

"I had a really great time tonight." He said, putting his hands in his pockets as you started to walk up to your house. "Yeah, we should do it again sometime." You were about to say goodbye when you got up to your front door, but he spoke first.

"Y'know, I've wanted to do this for a while now and I know this is our first date, but I'm not really a man of tradition." Before you could ask what he meant you felt his lips on yours. You felt a smile curl up his lips before he pulled away. He looked nervous and his face was really red. 

Instead of saying anything, you grabbed him by the tie and pulled him back down so you could kiss him again.

That was your first date with Leorio, but definitely won't be your last.
