You were sat down on the couch of you and Leorios house, waiting for your fiance to get home. Gon, Killua, and Kurapika needed his help on a mission since he was qualified. You looked over from the couch as you heard the front door open. The three boys walked in and Kurapika whispered something to them. Gon and Killua didn't go over to you like usual, instead they walked into a different room. Gon had tears streaming down his face and Killua didn't look to happy either. 

"(Y/n)..." Kurapika started to walk over to you, causing you to get up from the couch. You noticed something in his hand. "Kurapika, wheres Leorio? And why do you have his glasses?" You questioned, trying not to assume the worst. "About that, Leorio couldn't make it back with us.." He frowned. You could tell what he was trying to say, but you weren't believing it. "Hold on-"

"(Y/n) don't-" Kurapika tried to say but was cut off by you putting your phone to your ear as after dialing Leorios number. You waited a second until Kurapika's pocket started to ring. "(Y/n), he's gone.." You threw your phone and raced up the stairs to you and Leorios shared bed room. Kurapika tried to run after you but had the bedroom door slammed and locket in his face. You laid in bed, hugging Leorios pillow that still had his scent on it as you remembered what he told you before he left for the mission.

You wrapped your arms around the taller man as he leaned in for a kiss. "Oreo, why do you have to leave." You whined, kissing him back. Leorio pulled you in his embrace as he sat you two in the couch. "I know, but I promised Kurapika and Gon I'd help them with this." He started kissing your face even more, making you blush. "But I promise, I'll be back later tonight." He said, holding your hand and fiddling with the ring on it. "And I can't wait for next week." He smiled, putting your hand up to his mouth and kissing it.

You also couldn't wait to have Leorio as your husband. The two of you sat there in each others embrace for a few minutes that you couldn't wait to make a life time. Leorio checked his watch and quickly dated up. "Shit, I gotta go." He planted one more kiss on your lips before leaving. "I'll be back later tonight. I love you, (y/n)." Were his last words before closing the front door behind him, leaving you alone on the couch.

Little did you know that that was the last kiss you'd ever get from your soon to be husband

Kurapika's shouting and banging on the door was drowned out by your tears and sobs. You hugged Leorios pillow tighter as you cried out louder. You were waiting up wake up or for Kurapika to say that this was some kind of sick joke Killua thought of. But it wasn't going to happen and you knew that. Leorio was dead and there was nothing you could do about it. 

You finally acknowledged Kurapika's presence as he broke open the door and ran over to you, Gon and Killua with him this time. Gon wasn't crying anymore but his face was still stained with tears. They all ran over to you and embraced you in a hug, even Killua. "(Y/n), I'm so sorry, but theres nothing we could've done to save him". Kurapika's calming voice spoke. You knew he was right. It was a known fact that Kurapika would take his life to save any of his friends. 

You hugged your friends back as they tried to cheer you up, although now nothing would ever be the same without Leorio.
