Chapter 5: Approval and visit

Chris's P.O.V; My alarm for nine-thirty went off as I sat up and stretched my back out. I yawned and turned off my alarm. I stood up from my bed and walked off to my bathroom to get ready. After finishing with my shower, I did my hair and make up. After I finished those, I got dressed. (outfit, makeup, and hair)

I had just finished up when your alarm for ten went off. I walk out into your room and turn off my alarm then grabbed my mini backpack to take with me. Since my mother didn't want to bother learning how to drive, I would be driving us to deliver the sweets. I put my phone, house keys, and a few little stuffed animals in it for some of my favorite child patients that are there. I zip up my bag and leave my room, closing the door behind me, and walking down the steps. I enter the kitchen and set out the sweets from the fridge so they aren't to cold for the people who we are taking them to. After pulling out all of the sweets, I head over to the pantry and grab one breakfast bar to eat for lunch and put about seven granola bars in my bag for if I get hungry while we're out. When my mother came down the stairs, it was already eleven forty-five. As she came down, she grabbed a breakfast bar and started to grab the sweets and head for the front door. "Chris, could be a dear and get the rest of the sweets for me?" She asked while I was already holding the rest and heading out behind her. "Already on it mother, in fact I'm right behind you" I tell her as I lock the door behind me with my car keys in my hand. I unlock my car door and hand the rest of the sweets to my mother once she sits down and buckles up. I got in the drivers seat and buckle up. I start my car and pull out of the driveway. I was driving down the road when my mom started talk. "So dear, I heard what the oracle had told you. How did the pack take it when you told them?" When she asked that, I physically tensed up. "Well when I told them what she told me, I demanded to know who was there born enemy and if they would force me to choose between them and my spiritual other. They proceeded to tell me that it was not there secret to tell and that if I was happy, then they would try and get along with them. They even said that if my spiritual other tries and makes me choose then he will have to deal with the pack since they have claimed me as not only a pack member but also a sister" I inform her as we start to pull up to the police station. "Well then we will just have to wait and see then. Now run the cookies inside then we can take the muffins and brownies to the hospital" she tells me and I get out the car with the cookies. I walk into the police station and hand the sweets to the desk officer telling him that the sweets are for the station and that I would bring more next week. He told me thank you and have a nice day. I said your welcome then walk out and get back in my car. We start to drive to the hospital when my phone rang. My mother took it out of my bag and answered it while putting it on speaker. "Hey Chris, you busy?" Jake asked through the phone. "Me and ma are taking sweets to the hospital, what's up?" I said in the phone while still driving. "Dad wants to know if you and mama Hera wanna come to the pack barbeque tonight. He also may be able to help you figure out who your other is" Jake said. I smiled as my mother told him that we'll be there at six. " You are happy that you my find them dear" my mother says while I nod my head. "I want to meet my other so bad" I whined out as we approach the hospital. "You will be absolutely positive that you want to meet them though. I mean can you even handle two spiritual others dear. You might end up pushing one of them away subconsciously and it could hurt you guys. Do they even know you exist?" My mother shot questions and assumptions left and right. "Mother, I understand your concern for that but my others are tied to each other as well by the fates. And I am happy that you see it from all views and scenarios, but I'm fine. Thank you for worrying" I tell my mom, and for the first time in fifty years she laughs. "You were always one to tell me how it is. Even when I was still with your no-brain father, you were the only logic we had really. Thank you my child" my mother told me as she hugged me while walking into the hospital. When we enter, we immediately headed towards the children's care wing. We get to the front desk and ring the desk bell. The nurse came up and gave a very obvious strained smile. She is new, heh this should be fun. "Hello, my name is Chris and me and my mother came by to drop off these brownies for the kids who are in for treatment" I tell her as her face falls slightly. "We do not permit outside food to be brought in so I will have to demand that you leave the premises. And while you leave, you can dispose of those awful excuses that you call sweets" She yells at me as if she were in a position of authority over me. Well this bitch has another thing coming. "Well miss bitch, in case you weren't given the memo when you started this week cause I didn't see you here last week, I was given permission by the board of health and wellness as well as the owner who by the way is your boss, to give these treats to the kids and treats to the staff but with one call to the board and your boss, I can have your job taken and medical license stripped and taken. Now if you'll excuse me, I'll be going to the kids common room and giving them there yummy treats" I tell her and turn to walk off with my mother. The look on that nurse's face was priceless, that is until she tries to jump me from behind. I quickly hand my mother the brownies and shove this nurse off of me. Right as I turn around so she can't jump me, the security guard comes with all of the board members as well as her boss and the cops. I was about to tell the officers what had happened when she started telling them something completely opposite. "Oh officers thank god your here, this woman told me that she was going to poison and kill all the little kids in the children's wing. After she told me, she tried to leave towards the kids common room to give them her poison sweets. I tried to stop her but she started attacking me. Please arrest her, she is a danger to society" the women wailed out as false tears began to stream down her face to make her story seem believable. "Oh but ma'am, we saw everything on the camera as well as heard everything on the audio. I thought you would be kind and caring when I hired you, but not even three hours into your first shift did I get complaints about you from the other staff and the children here. So I decided to have the security guard that would be working when you would work keep an eye on you. what we just saw is not only enough to fire you, but also to arrest you" The owner told her as she grew a look of pure horror on her face. "Dear Chris, my wonderful friend, you can go take the brownies to the kids while I take the muffins to the break room. Sarah kept asking Maria when you were coming back. She is told Maria that you were her favorite visitor out of everyone, She's waiting" he told me with a smile. I smile back and head off with my mother to see the kids. When we start approaching the door, I hand my mother the brownies and open the door. "We're are my little sugar pies at. I have sweets" as soon as I said that, I hear rapid little pitter patter footsteps racing toward me. "Mama sweets" as soon as I hear that, I am tackled to the ground by twelve little children. "Hi there my lovelies, I have someone for you all to meet. If I can please be let up, I could have you meet her" as soon as I said this, they all got off of me and worked together to help me up. When I am up and balanced, I walk over to my mother with the little ones hiding behind me. When we get to my mother, she hands me the brownies. "Little ones, this is my mother and the true baker with the magic hands. This wonderful woman's name is Hera Cooper. Mother, these are the little rascals. That is what they have told everyone to call them" I tell her as Sarah steps out from behind me and approaches my mom. My mom knelt down just as Sarah stuck out her hand for a hand shake. "Hello Ms. Hera, my name is Sarah Wander. Your name reminds me of the Greek goddess Hera Olympia, queen of the goddesses and gods of Greece. Are you her?" Sarah asked my mother with a twinkle in her eyes that only shows when she is talking to an idol of hers. "Yes young one I am, the reason why I now have a different last name is because me and Zeus separated. But we did on great terms because he fond his true spiritual other. But we are still good friends and I am happy to be here making lovely treats for you all" my mother says as Sarah starts squealing. "Is it true that Persephone married Hades against her mothers wishes?" The little angel asked with so much curiosity. "Yes and she even beat up Hades ex because she not only tried to have him cheat on Persephone, but she also tried to threaten to hurt my beautiful daughter here. Chris here is Persephone and Hades favorite" my mother said with a smile. "Well my lovelies, I have to leave cause I have to start preparing for school that's in two weeks" I said while they all nod and take the brownies to the table. "Bye mama sweets, see you next week" they call out as we walk towards the entrance. We get in the car and drive home to get ready for the barbeque. This should be quite intriguing.
