Chapter 3 Part 1: Opening letters

Chris's P.O.V; My mom just finished cooking when the doorbell rang. I opened the door and the mailman hands me a stack of multiple colored envelopes. I thank him and close the door. I walked to my mom while looking through the letters. All of them are addressed to me. "Hey mom, I just got a bunch of letters addressed to me. Wanna read them with me?" I ask my mother as she sets the table. "After we eat. Then we can read them ok" my mom says as she goes to the kitchen to get dinner. When we finish eating our dinner, me and my mother sat down on the couch after cleaning up so we can read the bundle of letters. "Lets read your pen-pals letter first then the others ok" my mother says to me. I nodded my head then proceeded to grab my pen-pals pastel lavender envelope and opened it to take out the letter. I opened it and proceeded to read it out loud and it said;

                        Dear Chris,

I am deeply thrilled that you told me your name. And it is only fair that I do the same as well. My name is Rosalie Hale and I am deeply glad that you hold me dear and close to your heart as I do with you. I also have informed the three knuckleheads and they can't wait. I also wish to inform you that me and my family live in a forest home right outside of forks, near the reservation. So if you ever wish to visit then yo can. I have also gave my family the opportunity to send you a letter so beware of what they write to you. I await your response my friend and please take care.

I was grateful to have her as a friend and I knew where they lived and how to get there. Maybe I can go over tomorrow if it's ok with her and her family. I look over at my mother who just finished putting the letters in order of which will be read first and the order after. She hands me the next letter to read. This letter seems to be from a Dr. Carlisle Cullen. I proceed to open the envelope to pull out the letter. I unfold the letter and it said;

                          Dear Chris,

Hello, we haven't had the privilege to meet yet but I am the new doctor in town. My name is Dr. Carlisle Cullen, but you can just call me Carlisle, I have heard so much about you from my darling adoptive daughter Rosalie. I personally would like for you to come pay me and my family a visit between sometime this week or next week. It would be great for Rosalie to meet you face to face. Please consider my offer and reply back with your chosen response.

Wow, Rosalie's father has invited me to there house to meet them. I'll definitely drop by to see them after I get the go ahead from the doc. After reading that letter, I get the next letter from my mother, who is looking like she is about to jump out of her skin with anticipation on what this letter says. This letter is from a Blade Cullen. Well I'll be damned, that is one badass name. I open the envelope and pull out the letter. After unfolding the paper I began reading it and it says;

                        Dear Chris,

The name is Blade Cullen. I am the adoptive son of Carlisle and I am also Rosalie's big knucklehead boyfriend. I want to personally thank you for bringing Rosalie out of her shell. She never really opened up to people and rarely ever opened up to me. But when she got your first pen-pal letter from you asking if she could be your pen-pal four years ago, she has changed. she started opening up to me and the family more. So I am eternally grateful. So thank you and I hope we can meet soon. You have helped her so much and I wish you safety until we meet.
