Chapter 19

P.o.v. Hope
I'm waiting in a little room in the hospital together with Shawn and Lucas. (Lucas is the guy in the picture above the test.) I am so happy that Lucas is here with me, when we are not even sure that it is his child. The doctor walks into the room and explains us what is going to happen. I find it a bit scary. I mean a needle that is going to be inside of my belly. I get nervous when the doctor comes close to me with the needle in his hand. Lucas takes my hand and says "calm down, it is going to be okay. Shawn and I are here with you". Shawn lays his hand on Lucas his shoulder. When the needle gets into my belly I start crying. Happily the needle is out not soon after that. It can take to two weeks for the result. After I can finally go home after half a hour. Lucas. Coms with me and we are going to watch a movie together. After a while I fall asleep on his lap.

P.o.v. Shawn
Hope is finally asleep. I tell Lucas that it is better if he goes home. It may be a bit mean to Hope, but after everything she went trough it may be for the better. I put Hope into her bed. After that I decide to go to the spice canceling room to record my third song. I already started it. The only thing I still have to do is adding a bridge to it. I finally finished the song after half a hour. I decided to call it "act like you love me"

I send all of my songs to my manager. I see Hope standing in the doorstep. She asks me where Lucas is. I tell her that I send him home. She gives me a hug and thanks me voor everything I have done for her. "Hey Hope, I learned how to play that song Oceaan on my guitar. I thought it would be fun to cover it". I say. Hope laughs, she gives me a hug and goes back to bed.

The next morning
Hope comes downstairs with a smile on her face. I make a silly joke. She pushes me a laughs really cute at me. "Shall we record the cover today, because Lucas will come over and I want him to hear it". She says. "Yes of course". I say.

2.30PM
Lucas walks in and I offer him something to drink. We walk upstairs after a few minutes. Hope and I record the song together while Lucas is watching us. Lucas kisses Hope after we finished the song. Do I feel a little jealous?! No I can't! I am her guardian. I send Hope and Lucas downstairs and secretly send the cover to my manager. He replied to it really fast. He is going to try to get the rights to make it a real cover. Hope will be so happy!
