Chapter 16

POV Shawn
8.30pm and Hope isn't home yet. I'm really starting to get worried. I keep calling her, but she won't pick up the phone. I decide to go look for het myself. I park my car and I walk to the park. I see Hope laying down on the ground. I scream "Hope" and see a man running away. I'm running towards Hope as fast as I can. I lift her up and carry her to the car. When I pull her down I hear a dog crying in the bushes. I see Lola running towards me. I lift her up and put her in the car. I'm driving home as fast as I can. I put Hope in bed and give her something to drink. She falls asleep very quickly so I walk downstairs.

I'm calling the police eminently . I'm telling the police officer that I found Hope lying on the ground with a man that ran away really fast when I saw him. They tell me they can't do anything with it, so they put down the phone. I'm starting to feel really guilty. Who let's a little girl like Hope out that late. My parents would kill Aaliyah if she was out that late. Lola is okay luckily.

Two weeks later:
It is 11.30am and Hope is still asleep. I decide to take a look. She is already awake, but won't say anything. I ask her what really happened, but she isn't replying back. I'm walking downstairs to call a doctor. Luckily he has a spot at 14.30pm. I'm continuing writing my second song for some distraction. I finished my song "running low" after 2 hours.

I'm walking upstairs and tell Hope that we're going to the hospital. I have to dress her myself. When we get to the hospital, a doctor sends us to the third floor. The doctor asks Hope a couple questions, but she won't answer. Hope starts to throw up. What the hell is going on. The doctor tells me he wants to run a couple tests on Hope. I can pick her up in about an hour.

I decide to go to my family to tell them everything. Aaliyah starts crying and hugs me. My parents are trying to tear me up. I'm walking upstairs to my old room. I'm sitting on the floor crying like hell. My mother is coming to sit next to me. She tries to calm me down. Then Aaliyah says something really stupid. My mother and I are laughing our ass of. I take a look at my watch and see that it is time to pick Hope up.

The doctor tells me Hope is in shock. I am really concerned about Hope. The doctor tells me that is not they only thing. He tells me that Hope is raped and pregnant!
