"Ouch," I snapped. Someone had run straight into me as I was getting my mail.

"Hello there beautiful lady," said a slightly northern accent. "I'm sorry for bumping into you, but if you could just go back to your house I'd greatly appreciate it."

"What, why?" I asked grumpily.

"Well in about two minutes there will be a flock of angry Slitheens on this very spot," he said the words like they were negative, but a broad smile stayed on his face.

"What are Slitheen," I asked in confusion.

"Sort of like an alien gang," The young man said, taking an odd device out of his pocket and pressing a button.

"Alien!" I said in disbelief. The boy didn't answer but continued pacing around and acting odd.

"What's your name?" I asked carefully, not sure if a madman was on my lot or not.

"The doctor," he replied, swishing his medium brown hair out of his eyes as he peered at the grass like it had something to tell him.

"Doctor who?" I asked.

"Exactly," He said sending me a broad grin.

"If it's easier, you can call me Chris," he said.

"That works better," I agreed.

"Okay, now enough talking," Chris said grabbing both my arms and shaking me slightly.

"You are a very pretty woman, and I'd hate for the Slitheen to drown you in acid," he said.

"Acid!" I said in shock.

"Yes, acid my dear girl!" He responded.

Suddenly, an odd sound resounded through my neighborhood. Giant beings that looked like potbellied fetuses with large black eyes appeared on my lawn.

"What the bloody Hell!" I shrieked.

"You have no reason to harm this girl," Chris said, standing in front of me with his glowing blue stick.

The Doctor, or Chris, conversed with the aliens about something, but I was too stunned to listen. Suddenly, a fight broke out. The large Slitheen swiped out at Chris with their claws.

"What can I do?" I called to him urgently.

"Vinegar!" He shouted.

"What?" I said in confusion.

"Get some bloody vinegar," he shouted, somehow climbing up onto my shed roof.

I ran toward the house. One of the Slitheen noticed and lumbered after me. They were actually pretty fast for their size.

The creature decimated my doorway as I ran into the house. I made it to my kitchen, the Slitheen close behind. I could hear the crashes as I scanned my cabinet for vinegar. The alien entered my kitchen as my hand grasped the vinegar. I threw it on the beast, and almost immediately, it exploded all over my house.

I tried not to let it bother me and I bolted out of the house. I threw the vinegar on the other Slitheen and it exploded as well.

"Brilliant!" Chris exclaimed though he was covered in gunk.

"That was.....invigorating," I said with a laugh.

"However, I'm not too impressed with the state of my house," I said dismally.

"Why don't you forget about your house," Chris said casually.

"What?"

"Come on an adventure with me, in my blue box," he grinned.

"Is that a euphemism?" I said hands on my hips.

"No I really have a blue box," he grinned, and a blue telephone booth appeared from nowhere, accompanied by a strange noise.

"My blue box," he said leaning against it.

I entered, amazed at what I saw, all sorts of contraptions and weird items. I raced back out.

"It's bigger on the inside," I exclaimed.

"Now that," he pointed at me. "Could be a euphemism."

"Where does it go?" I asked

"Anywhere you want it to," Chris beamed. "So, you want to come?"

Something in me was very drawn to Chris. I know I'd just met him but somehow I trusted him implicitly. I realized I very much wanted to go with him.

"Yes," I said. He grinned brightly.
