He coughed up vigorously until tears were sitting on his eyes. He swallowed back and looked at the girl, "What do YOU know about that stone?"
Reiynia went silent before she looked at her brother. "I know that it grants wishes," Reiynia answered. "That is all I know."
"Wishes huh?" Izin sighed. "Then too I wish it were that simple." He sighed before closing his eyes. "It doesn't simply grant wishes, it takes attributes you already have and uses them to makes your desires come true."
"And what exactly does that mean?" Reyzenar asked before shoving the fruit into a wide bite.
"It simply means that it takes something from you before granting your wish," he simplified his words before staring at the fruit that almost choked him.
"So that would explain why we-" Reiynia stopped herself before she revealed any more.
"Have you had an encounter with that stone before?" Izin asked as he placed the mango seed beside him.
"We believe we got here because of it," Reiynia continued.
"Hmmm... how strange," Izin said more to himself, "Anyway, do you have more questions?"
The twins shook their heads and so did Reyzenar. All their gazes fell on Eirisnia. She had her head propped up with two hands. Her eyes were closed shut.
"I think she's asleep," Reyzenar waved a hand in front of her before poking her arm.
Eirisinia's dreamed of many things but in her mind, she saw a woman sleeping on a stone bed. Her entire body covered in water as she slept.
Her face was blurred but her long curly golden hair was visible through the dancing water dome covering her body.
The floor below her crumbled down and she had suddenly awoken. She saw everyone around her sleeping beside the embers of the dying fire.
The night was still new but the starry sky was enough for her to see that Reyzenar was no longer sitting beside her. He was sitting a few feet away and was staring into the starry lake.
"Why are you still awake?" Eirisinia sat beside him and stared at the white dots in the lake.
"I was just thinking, I don't have a lot of weapons left," He jokingly said. "If we infiltrate another dungeon, I don't think I'll have the necessary weapons."
"That is what you are pondering over?" She asked as she wrapped her torn cloak around her knees.
"That's not all I was worried about," he sighed and continued to stare at the lake.
"Then what else are you worried about?" She asked again. Normally, she would be the one who is being asked to give answers but right now, she is the one seeking them.
"What happens after we help them?" He asked as he looked back at Reiynia and Zeirio sleeping side by side. "After we help those kids and Izin, what then?"
"What do you mean?" She asked again, this time, her eyes are slowly closing down but her ears are still open for Reyzenar.
"I mean, I can't bring you while I'm on an assassinating job," he explained as he put both hands on dry grass beside him. "And you can't go back to the kingdom either."
Reyzenar felt a head lean onto him. He looked at Eirisinia and saw her sleeping face. He sighed before saying, "This is exactly why I was worried. Where are we going to go once this is all over."
"We could just freely roam the land," a gentle voice answered him. "You do not need to worry about me, I will be fine, as long as..." she continued in a whisper but Reyzenar failed to hear it.
