"A boar's charging this way!" Eirisinia shouted.

"What?! Okay, listen Iris, here's what you need to do..." Reyzenar struggled as he attempted to look at the animal.

He told her to grab his hidden throwing knives from his vest and run away from him. When she was far away he shouted instructions at her. The boar's attention shifted to her and it charged towards her instead. Her puffy dress made her stumble and trip.

The boar's speed kept increasing without fail. It was only a few feet away from her.

"Roll to the side!" Reyzenar shouted followed by a pained cough.

She used all her might to roll to her left, dampening her clothes and dirtying her face even more.

She quickly got up and threw two diamond shaped knives with a straight handle towards the wild animal. One knife burried its sharp edge on the grassy land the other one hit the boars back. It squealed in pain.

Not a moment later, it charged at her again. "Step to the side," Reyzenar struggled as he shouted.

She quickly stepped to her left, missing the boar by only an inch. After she dodged the animal, she burried two knives beside its stomach. The boar squealed as it fell to the ground. It showed only a moment of struggle before it ceased to move.

Sweat glistened on Eirisinia's forehead as she tried to catch her breath. She panted while striding towards Reyzenar and brought back his remaining throwing knives. The metals clamoured as she dopped them by his side.

"I was really scared. I am glad you are alright," the dagger sighed in relief.

"That was great!" Reyzenar praised. "But it's getting a bit dark, you should start a fire."

"A fire? But we do not have any charcoals," she answered him.

"Charcoals?" He snickered and she glared at him. "Who needs charcoals when we've got wood," he said as he coughed up blood.

She rolled her eyes as she said in agitation, "Tell me what to do..."

Three days had passed after that encounter. Reyzenar's condition slowly got better. He was now able to sit down. He continued training Eirisinia and she continued to help him as best as she could with her dagger's assistance. They sat below the acacia tree witnessing the orange sun sink into the rocky horizon.

"You know Iris, you're a really quick learner," he stuffed his mouth with a handful of tiny blue berries the size of a tooth as he sat by a bed of irises.

She sighed. "As much as it pains me to admit this, you are an excellent instructor, Reyzenar," she picked up a berries from her palm and slowly ate them one by one.

"You know, I never thought you'd actually talk to me like a normal person, even though you're still speaking so formally and it feels kind of weird," he chuckled. His blue stained tongue was visible. "I mean, you were only saying a few words to me. You even ignored me yesterday."

She sighed again and closed her eyes, "My trust is hard to earn," she concluded as dawn ended.

Silence fell upon them. The leaves on the trees danced to the breath of the evening wind.

"Reyzenar?" She asked in a gentle tone.

"Hmmm?" The boy responded.

"I have not asked you this, but why do you carry so many weapons?" She curiously questioned as she started gathering twigs and dried up plant fibers. She struggled to start a spark.
