"Reiynia, your hair and your eyes..." Eirisinia could not believe what she was witnessing. A hundred questions raced through her mind.
"Do not mind my appearance for if we do not stop my brother, he will continue to suck energy from all the living beings here and he will become unstoppable," Reiynia tried to explain as she also struggled to control her own power.
"How do we stop it?" Reyzenar asked Reiynia without taking his eyes off of Zeirio. The boy's appearance also changed. His golden hair now had purple tips. It was clearly visible even from far away.
"We must put the necklace back around his neck," Reiynia panted. "You must hurry for if this keeps up, his power will not be the only one uncontrolled... If you see an orb surrounding me, do not enter it for that is the range of my power. The both of you know what will happen if my ability runs amok..."
Zeirio spread both his hands and round flat lights appeared at the feet of all the marticules. Round cages of light also appeared around the flying beasts.
He slowly raised his hands, forming them into fists and the grounded marticules started to ascend. They were above the trees when he flicked his hands to the opposite direction. The beasts scattered everywhere.
Zeirio started to float as a mix of bright and dark light came from a tree and flowed towards him. After that, the tree fell down. All the life was sucked from it.
"Brother! No!" Reiynia cried. An orb with a mix of bright and dark light surrounded her. "Please, get away from me... Hurry!"
Reyzenar grabbed Eirisinia by the shoulder and dragged her away. The both of them fell with a thud on the hard rocky ground. More blood came from her wound due to the impact.
Eirisinia stared back and forth at the twins. They emitted both light and dark energy.
What is going on? It is as if they are able to use both light and darkness.
"Iris," Reyzenar called out to her but she did not respond. "Iris!" He shook her back to her senses.
Her eyes grew wide and she stared into Reyzenar's hazel eyes. Her trembling body slowly stopped. He managed calm her down and bring her back to her rational thoughts.
"Reiynia said that we need to put back that boy's necklace," Reyzenar explained. "We need to do this together." She gave him a nod.
A powerful hurricane of light and dark particles circled around Zeirio. His hair was not the only one affected for his green eyes transformed into an aumbre of gold and black. Similar to Reiynia.
"Now they look alike! Maybe they ARE twins!" The dagger exclaimed.
Maybe...
A Marticule in the form of lion with goat-like horns appeared from the bushes and pounced at the boy. Zeirio held up his hand as if telling the beast to stop. A long thin piece of light wrapped around its body and stopped in mid air
He flicked his fingers and the thin ray flew the beast miles and miles away.
"We can't approach him casually. We're going to get caught in that hurricane of his," Reyzenar explained. "Stay here, I'm going to grab the necklace."
"But..." she tried to reason out but he cut her off. "You need to be here, Okay? Please trust me."
She stepped back and gave him a nod.
I trust you Reyzenar. I always have... and always will.
He ran into the forest and hid among the trees. He concealed himself from the boy. He crouched behind him and grabbed the necklace he threw away. A small white light appeared from Reyzenar's body and went into Zeirio.
