Unbroken love

Chapter 2

Maddie and Liz are walking home from school. We heard sirens behind them . We turn around and we see Roscoe and Enos chasing a car. We see who is in the car it is Bo and Luke. Bo and Luke saw Maddie and Liz. "Get in the car", said Luke. Bo was driving the car. "Bo try to lose them", said Luke. "You got it Luke, said Bo. "What's going on?" Maddie asks, eyes widening.
"Oh Rosco trying to get us on some made up charge," Bo says, stepping on the gas.
"What charge?" Liz asks.
"Burnt out tail light," Luke says, "which I know for a fact that is fine. Cooter just fixed it the other day."
"Cooter?" Maddie asks, raising an eyebrow.
"Our friend and also the towns mechanic," Bo answers, glancing behind him. "Looks like we've lost him cousin."
Luke grins. "Indeed we have cousin. Dukes one, Rosco and Enos zero."
"Wait you guys are cousins?" Liz asks, confused.
"I though you guys were brothers," Maddie adds.
"Naw, our parents both died, along with our cousin daisys," Luke explains while bo drives down a strange road. "So we all live with our uncle Jesse."
"Wow sounds tragic," Maddie mumbles, staring out the window. "So are we going to meet your uncle Jesse", Maddie asked. "Of course you are going to meet him" Bo said. "Awesome," Liz answers, smiling at him in the rear view mirror.
Bos cheeks flush, and he tries his best to stay focused on the road. Luke nudges him, giving him a 'you like her' look. Bo gives him a 'no I don't' to which Luke rolls his eyes to, knowing his cousin is lying to him. When they get to the house the dukes get out of the car and helped Maddie and Liz clump out of the car. "Thanks for the help", Maddie and Liz said at the same time. "Not a problem ladies", said Bo and Luke same time. "Wow," Maddie says, looking up at the house in front of us. "Nice place."
Her comment causes Bo and Luke to blush, having matching grins on their faces.
"Thank you ma'am," a voice says, causing the girls to jump.
"H-hello uncle Jesse," Bo stutters, embasrament flashing across his face.
The girls whip around to see an older gentlemen, in fading blue overalls, smiling kindly at them.
"Hello Mr. Duke," Maddie says, holding out her hand for him to shake.
He does, but gives her a look. "Mr. Duke makes me sound old. Just call me Jesse."
"Yes sir," Maddie says, grinning.
Liz steps forward, cautiously, also extending her hand. "Hello sir."
"Well aren't you polite?" He asks, shaking the young girls hand.
She smiles, releasing her hand from his and placing it back to her side.
"I don't believe I know you girls," uncle Jesse says, after a brief moment of silence.
"Oh, sorry," Maddie says, her cheeks flushing. "I'm Maddie and this is my sister Liz."
