Chapter 8

"Hey cooter?" maddie asks, moving to stand next to her sister."

"Yeah?" Cooter questions, raising an eyebrow.
Maddie eyes the car again. "You say there were two people who brought this car in?"
Cooter nods. "Yeah. Why?"
"Who was the second guy?"
"I dunno," Cooter answers, scratching the back of his neck. "He never gave me his name."
Maddie turns her head to look at him, tilting her head to the side. "Did you see his face?"
Cooter thinks about that for a moment. "As a matter of fact, I did not. He kept his hood up and his head down the entire time."
"Really?" Maddie whispers, frowning. "That's odd. Why would he hide his face?"
"Maybe he's the one who harrasssed you?" Jim questions, sounding unconvinced.
"No," Maddie shakes her head. "No, we already know it was Bill who harrased us, but this makes it so much more difficult to get a confession out of him!"
"How?" Liz questions, seemingly confused.
"Well for starters, we don't know what the man looks like. That makes it harder to find them. Who knows? They could be wandering around, window shopping, with bill keeping his face covered, and this new guy exposing his. But we don't know what he looks like..."
"Ooohhh i get it," Cooter says, giving me a knowing look. "These guys switch costums so nobody can point them out, which is how they get away with these things."
"Right," Maddie nods. "So, I'm not sure how we're going to be able to track them down."
"I may be of assistance," Cooter says, smirking.
"How?" liz asks.
"Its obvious, isn't it?" Maddie asks. "We all hide in the building, and wait for these guys to show up to get their car!"
"Right," cooter says. "And one of you should stay here as my 'assistant'"
"I'll do it," maddie says, then frowns. "Or maybe Jim should do it, seeing as they don't know his face."
"Good idea," Jim says, then looks up at Cooter. "You got any spare mechanic uniforms?"
Cooter nods. "Yes sir, right over there, next to the paint."
Jim smiles and saunters over to them. Maddie and liz giggle.
"I love him, but sometimes i wonder about his sanity."
"Me answers.
"Anyways," maddie says, "lets go hide on the loft until they come."
"Right maddie," Liz said. They go hide and when they hear Bill's voice they jump out to surprise bill. Bill had no idea the girls were hidding behind there the whole time. "We know you are the one who harassed use in the bar," said maddie. "We want you to tell Roscoe that you did and you are the one that started the fight with out boyfriends," said liz. "Alright you got one out of three," said Bill. "What do you mean," asked maddie. "What I mean is that there are more of us. Right here in Hazzard County," said Bill. "Can we take him in Cooter," asked Liz. Cooter looks confused. "Why are you asking me?"
Maddie rolls her eyes. "Because it's your place of buisness."
"Oh..." cooter says, smiling sheepishly. "I knew that."
Maddie giggles. "I'm sure ya did buddy."
Liz rolls her eyes. "Well cooter?"
"Yeah, take him in," Cooter turns away, making a shooing motion with his hand.
Maddie giggles again before grabbing Bill's hands and pinning them behind his back. "You chose the wrong county to try and pull this stunt in!"
"I've noticed," Bill mumbles.
Maddie grabs his arm and twists it painfully behind his back. He cringes in pain, and tries to get out of her grip, but Liz steps infront of him and grabs him around the neck to prevent him from moving. She tilts her head from side to side a few times.
"Ya know, if you hadn't have tried to harass us, you would be kind of cute," liz mumbles, her eyebrows pulling together.
Maddie gives her sister a look, but doesn't question her. She just wants to drag Bill to the courthouse and get him to confess to rosco, so she could go on a proper date with Luke. Of course, she wants her sister to have a date with Bo as well, it's just, she was far more concerned about a date with Luke.
Bill notices Maddie's grip on his arms loosen and tries to take advantage of that, to get away, but Maddie quickly retaliates, and twists both his arms in a painful manner behind his back, before giving Liz a look, who let's go of Bills beck, and shoves him forward. He stumbles, but she doesn't give in. She simply marches him across the street toward the courthouse and shoves him in the doors.
When they enter, both girls immediately notice Bo and Luke who are cuffed and sitting in chairs across from Boss and Rosco, who are apparently trying to give them the third degree. They all look up when Maddie enters, shoving Bill in ahead of her.
"What in tarnasion..." Boss mumbles, before standing and crossing the room to Maddie, Bill, and a very exhausted Liz, who ended up having to dodge quite a few cars to get to the courthouse.
Bo and Luke are staring at Maddie, while Rosco is muttering something about not wanting to get on her bad said.
"Here he is Boss," Maddie says, tightening her grip on Bills arms. "He's the one that harrassed us. He's also stated, and Cooter and Jim are witnesses, that he wasn't the only one, and that there's 2 more of them scattered around the county."
Boss's eyes widen. For some unknown reason, he always seems to believe everyword that comes out of Maddie's mouth. Well, considering she was holding a man, twice her size, infront of him, while also twisting his arms around his back. Boss figured she meant buisness.
"Yes i see. Er Rosco?"
"Yes Boss?"
"Drop them charges against the Duke boys and let them go."
"But boss!" Rosco exclaims, bur Boss cuts him off before he can continue.
"Rosco, I said let them go! Unless you want to tangle with this girl!" Boss says, while Maddie shoots Rosco an evil glare.
Rosco nods and uncuffs the Dukes. Both boys stand and cross the room to where Maddie was with Bill. Luke glares down are Bill, and smirks.
"So I guess you've learned your lesson eh?"
Bill nods.
Luke smirk widens. "Good," his smirm vanishes and is replaced by a serious look. "Never. Mess. With. My. Girl. Again!" "Yes Luke. I guess that is your name," said Bill. "If you get your other friends on them. You will be sorry if you tell them about this,"said Bo. "Nobody will every find out about this. Unless someone here will find my friends and tell them that I am here in this jail house," said Bill. "Nobody will every see your face for a long time. Cause you send the rest of your life in this jail house," said Boss.
