Shuichi's POV

2nd day and it's already hectic. Kaede and Kaito rampaging my baby book with my mother while I sit here on the other end not allowed to look at it because
1 it's embarrassing and
2 my mother forbids me in getting in the way in showing every photo I have to them.

" Oh my god! Shuichi looks adorable! " Kaede squealed before turning the page. Kaito gasped soon after and gave me a thumbs up. I felt nervous and at the same time embarrassed but I responded with a shaky grin at his remark.

" And this is the time he first went to D.I.C.E. We used to live at Japan but after his Uncle became a Despair follower, I moved here.  "

" Wait D.I.C.E ?? " I sat up and headed over there. Kaede's blinking confused expression and Kaito's knitted brows made my curiosity rise that I wanted to see. I looked over their shoulders and saw it. " Kokichi? "

" Oh. " My mother sounded before her face lightened up. " Yeah that's his name. The guy who promised me that he wouldn't kill you if I don't set foot in Japan. " Her eyes drifted off to my picture. The smiling child me next to Kokichi who was looking warily to the side with his yellow eyes. " You insisted that he wasn't a bad person despite seeing him kill your father. "

" THE LITTLE RASCAL KILLED MY SIDEKICK'S DAD?! " Kaito yelled out shock.

" I guess it must have been the contract thing. But Kokichi was a really nervous child when he was suddenly dragged by this kid home. He wouldn't even talk to any of us except Shuichi and Haiji. "

" W-why does he have yellow eyes? " Kaede touched the picture trying to cover Kokichi's eyes to have a better look as if she's in denial.

" Is something wrong with his eyes? He always had yellow eyes. You pestered him everywhere cause normally only the Saihara's are known for that color. You know yellow or yellowish grey. It was quite a sight that you went to us and suddenly yelled out you had a long lost brother. " She explained with a small nostalgic smile.

" The Kokichi I met in my school had purple ones. I don't remember this Kokichi. "

My mother looked away nervously, her face turning pale as if she had done something wrong. Kaede and I stared at her to make her spill the beans. Kaito just remained looking through the pictures.
