5~ Dolphin Screeches

Felix was ready to take Brownie to the café. He still remembered the moment when he rescued her. She was so scared and lost. There was no hope in her eyes. She had no trust for humans. Maybe that was the reason why he was so suddenly attached to her. He wanted to see her happy again. So, he decided that taking her outside would give her a little bit of confidence. 

Sneaking her in at night was already a hassle. Sneaking her out in broad daylight would certainly be a challenge. He required some expert assistance and he had just the right person in mind. However, he doubted that the person would want to help him. Felix asked Brownie to stay in his room quietly and decided to start his quest.

Felix knocked against Hyunjin's door after hesitating for a while. Hyunjin's room was directly beside his one. Therefore, his journey was way too short to contemplate his options. 

After knocking for the second time, he heard no answer.

"Hyunjin! Can you hear me?" The door rattled due to how hard Felix was knocking. When he still didn't get an answer, he twisted the doorknob and opened the door quietly. His head peeked inside the room through the small crack of the door only to meet with a flying pillow. Felix scowled and opened the door entirely.

"I know you are here for my help to do something ridiculous once again and guess what, I am not helping! Go away!" He shouted and threw more pillows at him. Felix didn't even know whether he should be concerned about the unhealthy amount of pillows on his bed.

"I just want you to help me get Brownie out of here. Is that too much to ask for? You did very well last night." Felix caught one pillow and tossed it back at him. Hyunjin shot up from his lying position and looked at the boy in disbelief. The staring contest was broken when Hyunjin sighed and facepalmed.

"You know, it's not a crime to be stupid but you are sounding pretty ridiculous to me. I get it that you want Brownie to go outside but you just cannot carry her all the way. On top of that, you know what Mr. Jung did. How can you ask me to do something like that again?!" Hyunjin exclaimed. Felix bit his lip finally realizing that he did sound a bit selfish.

"Right..." Felix trailed off silently. Before Hyunjin could say anything else, he went out of the room and closed the door behind him. He glared at the ground, thinking deep. Who would take care of Brownie in his absence?

There was no choice for him but to keep Brownie with Changbin. But he already had taken a distaste towards the poor creature. Being so engrossed in his own thoughts he didn't even notice the eldest dorm mate standing just across him.

"Trouble in paradise?"

Felix got startled at the sudden deep voice. He glanced up to see Chan leaning against his room's door with his hands tucked inside his pockets. He had a slight smile tugging at his lips. Felix flashed him a frown which made him chuckle and shake his head.

"I can keep her with me. Don't worry, I heard everything. Hyunjin was quite loud like always." Chan flashed him a closed-eyed smile, the small dimple beside his lips made him look all more innocent. Felix was more than happy. He beamed at the older boy and nodded vigorously.

There was no way Changbin will keep her with him. So, it was better for him to keep Brownie with Chan.

"Wait here, I will bring her to you." Felix left Chan and open the door to his room. He went inside  but before closing the door he said his last words, "You are best and you always will be!" Chan flashed him another wide which Felix returned with a toothy grin.

Felix closed the door behind him leaving Chan standing and waiting patiently.

Upon entering, Felix saw Changbin was playing with his phone. Felix decided to ignore the boy. Once his eyes met with Brownie's silver ones, he smiled widely. He went towards her and scratched behind her ears lovingly. He picked her up with much effort but the feeling of her soft fur against his face made it all worth it.
