Yeona glanced towards the ambulance that was driving away into the foggy morning. Her eyes fell on her hand that was still coated in Minho's blood. Running away was always the better option. She shouldn't have listened to Felix. She jumped down the tall boundary of the boy's hostel. Her bare feet landed on the soft snow, the coldness stung but she soon got used to it.

Her stormy eyes were full of tears but she kept on running, running towards the dark forest that she always wanted to get out of. Those huge canopies of leaves always blocked the sunlight. She had grown to hate that darkness. Alas, darkness was where monsters hide.

Contrasting Yeona's stormy grey eyes, a pair of bright blue eyes followed her frail body that ran towards the forest. It was indeed an eventful morning. The blue eyes narrowed upon Yeona in thought.

It was time.

Yeona didn't know how long she had been running. She was a wolf, her body was naturally warm. However, she felt like the cold from the snowy forest bed was seeping into her very bones. At one moment, she had earned a huge cut on her feet. It was leaving a trail of bloody footsteps behind her.

Her tired eyes looked up at the cloudy sky. There might be snowfall or worse, a snowstorm. Yeona didn't know where she would go. There weren't any leaves on the trees. Only snow weighed down on the dead branches, much like how guilt was weighing down on Yeona.

She was walking through the deeper parts of the woods. Her feet ached along with the rest of her body. But the pain was nothing compared to what her heart and mind were going through. She felt guilty for leaving Felix once again without any goodbyes. But what good could goodbyes do? She would have to live with the melancholy either way.

The pain that she had inflicted upon Minho made her feel like her own father, like a monster who prayed on weak people to make himself feel better. It was disgusting, she hated it with all her being but being a monster was a part of her.

That was why she was running away, far away from the people who were kind enough to show her what home felt like.

"Yeona, don't leave."

Yeona almost fell due to the speed she turned around. Her hair whipped against her face and fell on her shoulder, A few rebellious strands got stuck in between her lips but she didn't bother to move them away. She was rather occupied in studying the male that stood in front of her. The boy stared right back at her with blinking.

At her first glance, she knew that the boy was no ordinary human being. His silky silver hair and intense blue eyes were a dead giveaway that the boy was indeed a werewolf. That explained how Yeona didn't hear him coming.

He stood in the middle of the snow, a few feet away from her. His honey-like skin shone in the middle of the white snow. His jaw was set with determination. He looked like he came with a purpose and the thought itself scared Yeona.

"You followed me," Yeona whispered while backing off involuntarily. There was something familiar about those piercing blue eyes of his. The rational part of her mind told her to run away but her feet were frozen in place, captivated by his scrutinising gaze.

"It's too cold," He calmly replied ignoring her previous accusation. He started taking timid steps towards her with his hand outstretched towards her. But Yeona didn't plan on cooperating. She immediately started snaring at the boy, ready to transform, if needed.

"Calm down, I won't hurt you." The boy assured, his voice was soft and quiet. His wide blue eyes didn't impose any threat. However, Yeona couldn't trust him that easily.
