I never knew loving someone who is at the top can come true. Apparently, it just did. I fell in love with someone who turned my world upside down the very moment I saw her, and eventually, she fell in love with me too.
I fell in love with Son Ye Jin. I never knew a guy like me will be the one she will entrust her heart to. It felt like a magical dream, and if it really is a dream, I don't wanna wake up from it anytime soon.
She rested her head on my chest, as I swayed her slowly from side to side, humming on a song I never even knew existed. It was a song that my heart sang, and it sang only for her.
'Bin,' she called me. I looked at her, and she lifted her head to see me.
'What is it, Yej?' I asked her softly.
'Can you stay here with me? It's almost the morning,' she said.
I smiled at the thought that I would do so, but I can't say no to her. Not now when we are starting to build something from our feelings. But I know what is best, everything happened too fast and I believe that there will always be time for everything.
'Are you sure?' I said, never turning my eyes away from her. She nodded and buried her face on my chest. The feeling of being able to love and care for someone this way doesn't come everyday, but for me, it came in a wonderful package that is the Nation's First Love.
'Okay,' I replied. 'As long as I stay here outside and you sleep in your room.' I continued.
With that she looked up at me, and I smiled, knowing that with our age, things like these won't matter. For some people. But it matters to me. Largely.
'Why?' she asked, probably questioning herself why I didn't want to sleep next to her. I could see in her eyes the feeling of happiness, and it made me feel like the most important person in the world for her. For I realized that there is something I can give her that she couldn't get just from anyone else.
'Because,' I replied, as I hugged her close to me. 'Just because.'
She settled in my embrace and probably she understood why. I can't take advantage of anything that I have an upper hand of, maybe one of the things I have learned over time and the various experiences that I had. I only know loving her in the purest form, not even thinking how big of a person this is who is with me.
I have seen her heart and for me, that is something far more important than the pretty face that I see everyday. It just comes as a bonus, for if her heart was pure, it would exude in her aura. I think I am just lucky to have both in one person.
'I love you,' I whispered, and if I am not mistaken, she was smiling. I could feel her lips draw a curve on my chest. 'Wait, Yej?'
'Hmm?'
'Don't you think I should say it properly and ask you the proper way?' I said. She looked at me once more.
She smiled. 'I don't think so. I think it's better this way. Besides, I have already known what you have been planning when you asked me on that night. But maybe I was presumptuous or what?'
It was my turn to smile this time. 'No. I think you have felt it when I told you about it,' I replied. 'I can't believe this,' I said after a few moments, leading her to sit with me on her sofa.
'Just start believing,' she said as she laid her head on my shoulder. We sat in comfortable silence knowing that our hearts felt the same way for each other.
'Bin, why don't we stay here instead?' she asked. 'Let me get some things so we can rest here. I'll be back,' she said as she stood up and walked to her room.
