They headed upstairs to Biana's room, which is where they decided to play the game. They arranged themselves into a circle on Biana's soft rug in the center of the room.
"So, Sophie, truth or dare?" Biana asked, starting the game.
Sophie contemplated her decision. If she chose dare, Biana would probably give her a makeover or something of that sort. If she chose truth, Biana would make her reveal something embarrassing like why she and Fitz had broken up a few months ago or who she was crushing on now. So, she decided dare was a safer bet.
"Okay, I dare you to let me put you in one of my fanciest dresses, heels, hair, and makeup. So, basically a makeover." Biana dared Sophie. Sophie knew she was going to regret this. But probably not as much as she would of regretted choosing truth. "Oh, also, you have to wear it until after dinner," Biana added. Sophie groaned, but begrudgingly stood up and walked towards Biana's closet and bathroom.
Biana ushered everyone out of the room except Linh, deciding that she could help with the makeover.
"Oh, Sophie, you're going to love this," Biana said. Sophie, at that moment, knew she was definitely going to hate it.
They decided on a dress first. Biana chose a red dress with a slim mermaid cut and a diamond incrusted waist. Biana also decided on a matching set of red high heels. Sophie slipped into Biana's closet to change, and slowly pulled on the dress. She begrudgingly put on the heels, then staggered and tripped to the door clumsily. When she finally made it and opened the door, Biana and Linh gasped.
"Oh, that dress looks so beautiful on you, Sophie!" Biana complemented. "You know what, it looks so great on you, I think I'll let you keep it." Sophie's eyes widened. One thing she definitely didn't need was more dresses.
"Oh, no, Biana, you don't have to give me your dress! I know how much you love your dresses," Sophie said, trying to get out of having the dress.
"Sophie, I don't need that dress. I have plenty, plus, I don't even wear that one! Come on, Soph, it looks so great on you. You need to see. Here, look in my mirror," Biana suggested.
Sophie reluctantly toppled over to Biana's floor-length mirror, and when she saw herself in it, she audibly gasped, just as Biana and Linh had. The mermaid cut fit her slim body perfectly, and the red color made the golden flecks in her eyes pop. As much as she hated bringing attention to herself, Sophie had to admit, she looked good.
"Okay, I guess I'll keep the dress," Sophie muttered, turning towards Biana. Biana squealed and clapped her hands, jumping excitedly up and down. Linh smiled widely, jumping and clapping along with Biana.
"Okay, okay, so I know the dress looks great, but no outfit is complete without matching hair and makeup!" Biana said excitedly.
She rushed Sophie over to her bathroom, which was huge and had a vanity with a chair and a ton of makeup on it in the corner. She plopped Sophie down in the seat and started rummaging through her many makeup supplies and elixirs.
She found and applied some light blush, saying something about how it complemented her fair skin. Then, she added some gold eyeshadow to her eyelids, marveling about how it brought out the gold flecks in her eyes.
After putting on some eyeliner, mascara, light pink lipstick, and giving Sophie a hair curling elixir, Biana was finished. She stepped back and surveyed her work. Sophie started to get up, but Biana yelled "Wait!" and rushed to Sophie's side again. She scanned the items on the vanity, and found what she needed: a hair band and a few hair pins with small bunched of pearls glued to the end.
She took the front parts of Sophie's hair and pulled them back, twisting them before connecting them with the hair band. She stuck the pearl pins in the twisted hair, making it look like there were pearls stuck in her hair. Finally, she was done.
"Alright, Soph, let's show the boys, shall we?" Biana said once Sophie got up, hooking her arm through Sophie's so she didn't fall on her face from the heels.
Before Linh opened the door to present Sophie, Biana unhooked her arm from Sophie's and stepped forward to spread her arms out and do jazz hands in front of Sophie.
When Linh finally opened the door, and the boys first laid eyes on her, they all gasped. Well, except Tam, who was staring at Biana.
Sophie blushed furiously and attempted to cover her face with her hair as Keefe, Fitz, and Dex stared at Sophie. Dex was the first to look away. Keefe just said, "Wow." Fitz elbowed him harshly.
After saying "ow!" and cringing, Keefe finally said, "Wow. Sophie, you look... beautiful." Sophie's face burned bright red.
"Thanks," she said. Her brown eyes locked gazes with his beautiful ice blue ones for a second, and she wondered once again about what Keefe was going to tell her.
"All right, all right, why not we get back to the game?" Biana asked, interrupting the moment. They all nodded and circled back up on the rug.
