The plan was set. After Biana and Tam called the Black Swan, Mr. Forkle, Wraith, and Granite came to Everglen to come up with a plan. They also called Grady and Edaline, so they were there too. Fitz had already talked to Sophie, and told everyone what was happening, and that she was okay. Grady and Edaline were extremely thankful for that.
Soon, they came up with a plan. Fitz could track her, and Biana could help make some of the others invisible. There was a small team going to save them; it would be easier to sneak around in small numbers. Biana, Fitz, Tam (his shadows would help hide them), and Dex (he could mess with their technology, plus he had a lot of unique weapons in case they ran into trouble).
"Fitz, you need to track Sophie. Tell us where you think she is. Concentration is key," Granite advised.
"Okay," Fitz said, closing his eyes. "She's... she's in the Forbidden Cities."
Mr. Forkle and Granite shared knowing glances.
"Go on," Mr. Forkle urged, stroking his chin thoughtfully.
"She's near where she used to live," Fitz answered. "In San Diego. She's near the museum where we first met."
"Good. Let's go," Mr. Forkle said. He drew a blue pathfinder out of his pocket. "Take this," He said, giving it to Fitz. "This will take you to Sophie's old home. And this," He gave them a map. "This will guide you to the museum. I'm sure you can track her thoughts closer from there. You might also want this," he said, giving Biana an obscurer. Biana put it in her pocket.
Fitz nodded, then grabbed Biana's hand, who locked hands with Tam, who took Dex's hand. Fitz held up the pathfinder, creating a bluish beam of light, reflecting towards the ground. Together, they stepped into the light .

They appeared on a crowded street, filled with people and honking cars. If they had known about this, Fitz and the others would have dressed in human clothes. But all they had was their obscurer.
"What's that smell?" Biana asked, scrunching her nose in disgust.
"Look," Tam said, pointing the opposite direction of where they were looking.
They all turned around, and in front of them was a huge house fire. Sophie's childhood home was burning down.
Wood crackled as the entire house collapsed. The fire department kept working furiously to put the fire out, but it was no use. The sickly sweet scent of the fire tickled their noses and made them want to sneeze.
It was Everblaze. And there was no stopping it.
