'will you still trust me if i said i knew about the attack?'

that line played over and over in wilbur's mind as he stumbled backwards in shock. wilbur froze in place as cold beads of sweat streaked down his face. wilbur watched as fundy stood silently with floris in hand before heading back to the stream, sitting at its edge.

fundy gazed longingly at the stream, watching as the water flowed smoothly, glistening under the sun, sparkling like diamonds. i heard there was a special place... fundy sang softly to floris.

fundy's singing snapped wilbur out of his trance as he hesitantly made his way next to fundy. the two sat in silence as they listened to the soothing sounds of the water as it flowed. wilbur watched as fundy hung his head in solemn as he wiped away the small tears that escaped his eye.

'tell me then. how do you know about the attack?' wilbur said softly as he fidget with his bandages.

fundy lifted his head and sighed before shaking his head, his hand began to tremble.

'fundy, please.. tell me. i wont judge you.' wilbur pleaded earnestly.

fundy exhaled shakily, 'i had a vision a month ago..' fundy paused, 'i saw flames, i saw smoke, i saw bodies, i saw a wall of roses... i saw mom.' fundy reluctantly said, his voice trembling as he spoke.

'i didn't know what the vision meant! now that i know what i know, i could have saved mom!!' fundy cried out as he pulled at his hair. (boy be wanting to go bald as such a young age)

wilbur steadied his son and gently pried off his hands from his hair, 'it wasn't your fault, you couldn't have known. look, i know im the last person you'd trust but i would never blame you.' wilbur assured fundy.

fundy tugged nervously at his black tunic as he patted floris.

wilbur sighed, 'your all i have left, you must be strong. i know its hard being kept here all the time but its what i must do to protect you from all who seek to use you for your powers, you must understand. this is just as hard for me as it is for you.' wilbur continued as he hesitantly pulled fundy into a side hug.

to his surprise, fundy didnt struggle out of his side hug.

wilbur could see how their bond was slowly mending as he chuckled, 'plus, your younger than me. i cant have you balding faster than me?' wilbur joked as he ruffled fundy's hair. fundy let out a small scoff, 'you promise you wont leave me behind?' fundy asked nervously.

wilbur smiled softly at fundy, 'i'll take care of you, i promise.' wilbur assured fundy as the two watched as the sun began to set.

two months later...

'bullseye!!' dream cackled out as he turned to face an astonished sapnap, his voice booming over the training grounds, earning annoyed looks from the knights who were training, 'i win, that's a ten points to three' dream gloated.

sapnap stared in amazement as dream began to collect his arrows, 'dream, quick question... HOW?!' sapnap yelled.

dream smirked as he adjusted his mask (for like the fifth time), 'it takes practice. LOTS of practice.' dream said as he knocked on sapnap's knight helmet teasingly.

sapnap readjusted his helmet as he mumbled, 'he must have been through one hell of a training. how does he even see through the mask? unbelievable.'

dream overheard it and walked over to sapnap, 'position, sapnap.' dream said to sapnap. sapnap nodded as he tighten his glove and arm guard before grabbing his bow and drawing it.

dream sighed as he walked over to sapnap, 'no, aim first before drawing otherwise your arm will begin to shake and you shall lose control.' dream instructed as he lowered sapnap's bow.

sapnap's eyes widened as he laughed embarrassedly, 'remember. aim, nock, draw, loose.' dream said as he stepped back before pointing to a target. sapnap turned back to the target as he focused his gaze on the target.

sapnap took a deep breathe before nocking his bow before drawing it, 'loosen the arrow before your arms start to shake!' dream reminded. sapnap grunted as he loosen his arrow, he watched as he arrow zipped across the training ground, landing away from the target.

sapnap and dream watched in amusement at the landing area of the arrow. dream scowled and turned to sapnap, sapnap winced as he expected nagging from dream.

to his surprise, dream doubled over and wheezed, 'i know your bad but NOT THIS BAD.' dream laughed playfully as sapnap glared at him.

(im getting archery facts from google, it might be wrong yikes.)

'archery isn't my thing. swordplay is.' sapnap grumbled.

'oh come on now, you just need practice.' dream said as he struggled to catch his breath, 'lets try this one more time. AGAIN.' dream instructed.

two hours later...

PUGG (what sound does a bowstring breaking make? haha)

sapnap and dream stared at sapnap's bowstring that snapped in half before bursting into a fit of laughter. 'looks like that's the universes sign of telling us to stop.' dream joked.

dream watched as sapnap sat on the ground tiredly as he began to remove his gloves and arm guard to reveal small callouses on his fingers. sapnap winced in pain as he touched them, 'or maybe its because im overworked.' sapnap said as he glared at dream.

'archery skills don't come overnight, sap.' dream nagged. sapnap chuckled and rolled his eyes as he began to unstring his bowstring and attach a new one when a shadow loomed over him.

sapnap lifted his head to be met with a pair of sky blue eyes looking down at him. 'g- gene- general.' sapnap stammered as he stood and gave a small bow.

tommy tilted his head as he crossed his arms, 'at ease, sapnap.' tommy said as he walked past sapnap.

tommy stood across dream, 'general, i hope you've been treating my knight right.' tommy said sarcastically. dream sighed in annoyance, 'we're just learning archery, tommy.' dream replied.

'mind for a talk then?' tommy asks, 'alone.'

dream looked over to sapnap before turning back to tommy, 'fine.' dream agrees.

tommy smirked, 'very well then, come with me.' tommy said as he walked with dream following behind, leaving behind sapnap.
