Chapter 1: So Far Away

New day, new school. I was transferred to Crypton Academy because of my outstanding Intelligence, while others got in because of their riches. Though I must admit, I'm proud of myself. I'm not the richest person, scratch that, I'm nowhere near the richest person, but I don't live too badly. I have a good sized house, a loving father and exceptional skills. Not that bad a fighter too. I took Judo, karate, etc. for many years. I can hold my own. From what I've heard and read, this school is best known for its singers, they call themselves 'vocaloid'. I would never be able to join their club, I'm a horrible singer. I sound like a dying cow. ((AN: mhm sure -3-))

When getting ready I went downstairs to eat breakfast, but then I saw the time. 'It's already 6:50?! That only leaves me ten minutes to get to there!' I mentally yelled. I grabbed an orange and ran out the door faster than a fox, didn't even saying bye to my dad. There was no way I could be late on my first day, never in a million years! It was tabuu!

Luckily, being on track for god knows how long pays off and I'm able to get to school in 5 minutes. I walk quickly to the classroom with time to spare. I slide the door open and take deep breaths, getting to a seat by the window. I take out my notebook and start to do random math questions. I sigh and keep working when I feel eyes on me. I look up to see almost everyone looking at me.

"Take a picture, it'll last longer." I say to them, returning my eyes to my notebook. That surely got their attention and they looked away. I heard the door slide open again, but didn't care of who came in, but them heard girls squealing. Geese, annoying much? I heard a group's steps come in and sit down. I'm glad I wasn't the only one late. The bell rang and the teacher came in.

"Hello, class. We have a new student, Ms. Kagamine, will you come here please?" I look up after hearing my name. I nod and make my way to the front of the class. I looked to most of the girls and see that they have short skirts. Wait, am I the only one with a long skirt? Hm, okay. I feel the teacher's arm around me and he smiles. "Ms. Kagamine, please introduce yourself." He said. I nod again.

"I am Rin Kagamine, nice to meet you." I bow respectfully. The teacher allows me to go back to my seat and do as so. The rest of the day was just learning. What'd you expect? At the ring of the bell, signaling lunch, I see two girls go over to a blonde boy with a short ponytail and start talking to him with a blush. I could tell he's some type of popular guy, or even, a playboy. I turn my attention away from him and stand up. I walk past him, since it's on the way to the door and leave.

In the cafeteria, it seems each group is separated into separate tables. Like, the jocks at the first table, the cheer leaders at the table beside them. The nerds at the second table and so on. I get my lunch and wonder where to sit. With the nerds? No, they don't even really look that smart to be quite honest. Wearing glasses doesn't make you a nerd. I sighed and went to the tables outside. Luckily, no one was there and I could be alone. I ate my lunch quickly and read after. I was alone, lonely and quiet. I like it that way.

Who needs friends? They're just people who use and betray you... You can't trust anyone.

Afterwards, I went back to class. It was a surely boring day.

~Time Skip~

I looked everywhere for room number 2g. I was told the mathematicians club was there. Believe it or not, math is my favorite subject. I saw it and sighed in relief with a smile. I walked over to it quickly and entered the door with no hesitation. But it was definitely the place I was looking for.

"Welcome~." I heard a group of people say in an almost seductive voice. Déjà vu? I saw a tall boy with purple hair pulled into a ponytail, a boy with blue hair, a girl with teal (or green :T) hair pulled into two, long pigtails, a pink-haired girl, a brown-haired girl, and the blonde boy I saw in class... There was also a girl with short green hair, but she seemed more calm and read a book.
