The Best, Worst Day

Rin's POV

I entered the walls of the prestigious academy, worried sick from my dream the night before. It was tearing at me, the lack of action from my friends made me rethink our relationship. I know I shouldn't, and that they would never do anything to me, but the paranoia got to me. I kept my head lowered, avoiding any eye contact. I wanted to cry, but knew I had to stay strong.

Then, I heard his voice. His calming, sweet voice. He was talking to some girls that were obviously annoying him, but he chatted with them anyways. I grinned at the boy, his pale blonde hair and enchanting ocean eyes captivating me. Knowing me, the brat I am, I tried denying my feelings, but my heart disagreed.

I was attracted to Len Kagami.

I gagged at the thought. He's practically my brother, we even look similar. With a brief yawn, I dug my head into my arms, hoping to fall asleep with no disturbance. A loud bang made me jolt up, seeing the blonde boy I spoke of. I looked worse than death itself, but I could honestly care less about my appearance.

"Rin, are you okay?" He asked in a concerned tone, and I could feel an arm on my back. I turned to my left and Miku stood there with a bright smile. She grinned at me, displaying her love and support for me. It was comforting, different from the friends I saw in my dream. I couldn't contain myself and tears began to stream down my cheeks. Gosh, I'm such a drama king

"R-rin?! What's wrong, did I do something? Rin, please!" Len freaked out. In stuttering words and a cracked voice, I tried to speak. "I'm just so happy to have you guys!" And engulfed them in a tight embrace.

~Later~

The last bell of the day rang and k couldn't be happier. I just wanted to go home and snuggle with my bed, to relax from this day. I walked out of the building and saw Len waiting for someone. I wonder who?

"Len? Who're you waiting for?" I asked in a soft tone. He blushed and visibly panicked. "Uh... Uh... No one you know! I don't think they came to school today, so, I'll walk with you..." His face became dark red, as if concealing something. I giggled and nodded, agreeing to walk with him.

I was about a block away from my house when Len spoke up. "Rin, we're going to a beach. Miku and the others wanted me to invite you," he said, my eyes lighting up.

"Beach?! I've always wanted to go to a beach!" I jumped up and down in excitement. My reaction was practically a yes and I could see Len was happy. My house was just a few feet away, and I usually just run to it from this length, but I did something I thought I would never do.

I hugged Len, followed by a kiss on the cheek. In reaction, I just started running to my house. Baka! Baka! You hopeless, stupid girl! I screamed at myself in my head and slammed the door behind me once I reached my house. I ran to my room, not giving any hellos or anything. I threw myself on my bed and screamed into my pillow. "THIS WAS THE WORST DAY EVER!!"

Len POV

"This has been the best day ever," o said calmly as a bit of blood ran from my nose.
