Chapter 2: You Have Met Your Match!

I recognized the distinct voice that came from outside, it was no doubt a certain female singer from Crypton Academy. I groaned and looked up to my ceiling. I didn't want to get up, I was too tired, even if going to sleep early. Ugh! I heard Miku-San yell my name again with at least 5 rocks this time hitting my window. With anger, I arose from my bed and went to the window, rubbing my eye, and pushed up my window. I knew it, it was Miku-San. But what surprised me was that she brought the whole group, especially Len. I guess I should apologize, I was really rude yesterday. When Miku-San saw me, her eyes lit up.

"Rin-chan! Come down here!" Miku waved at me. I was thinking of taking a shower, so I might as well invite them in. I went downstairs and opened the door, inviting them in. They were all filthy rich with gigantic mansions, and I could tell they've never been in a house like mine, or what some call it, a "commoner" house. "I'm taking a shower, so just stay down here. I'll go quickly." I said in my morning voice as I went up the stairs. Miku-San nodded and sat on the couch. The rest joined her.

I got into the shower, quickly washing my hair and almost immediately getting out. I dressed myself in a white sleeveless top with tan shorts going to my knees. As you can see, I'm not that stylish. I put my hair into a short ponytail and pin back my bangs. I make my way down the stairs and see Len looking at a picture, then picking it up, my eyes widen and I hurry to him. He can't touch that!

"Please don't touch that!" I can tell I surprised him. I took the picture away from him and held it close to where my heart would be. I take a sigh and place it somewhere else. "Sorry... It's just something I can't afford to lose." I apologize and he nods.
Meiko-San looks disgusted by my clothing, but I shake it off. We exit my house and start walking.

"How did you guys find my house anyways?" I asked them. "My dad's the principal." Answered Meiko-san. Wow, I never knew that... I wonder if her mother is the one who gets all the money? I nodded and kept following them, no words spoken. I didn't even know where we were going, but it looked like we were walking in the direction of a park. I walked in between Len and Gakupo, both who were taller than me, I couldn't help but feel towered. But hey, who cares? They're just two attractive boys walking beside me. I couldn't help but feel protected. Wait, what did I just say?! I was correct, we are going to the park. I wonder why? When reaching the park, Gumi-San went in front of us with a large smile. I could tell we were about to do some sort of activity. I'm not sure if I should be happy or worried...

"Okay, minna! I set up a scavenger hunt. Pick a partner and I'll give you the first clues. Once you get a partner, start immediately. Others may get the same clue as you, and you have to get the next clue first or you're out! Don't hesitate to fight for a clue!" Gumi-San winked and my heart beat faster. This is my type of thing! I'm a fast runner and I can fight, so this should be easy. Before I knew it, Luka-San and Meiko-San grouped up, and so did Miku-San and Kaito-kun, and Gumi-San isn't participating, and neither is Gakupo-kun, so that leaves me to Len. This will be a great opportunity to apologize.

"Guess you're stuck with me." I say to Len with a smirk. He smiles. "Not sure if I should be happy or fear for my life." Says Len. I turn away and cross my arms. "Just don't be slow, I'm going to win this." I balled my fist and got the clue from Gumi-San. Almost immediately, I grabbed Len's hand and ran in the direction of where the clue says, and it reads, "go to the place where children have most fun." That must mean the playground! I drag Len to the playground and look around.

"Look for the clue!" I say to Len. He nods and starts looking. I can't find it anywhere! Where the heck is it?! Just then, I hear Len yell out "found it!" and I almost cry of joy. I couldn't help but hug him I was so happy. Wait, what am I doing? I blush and stop hugging him, than act like it never happened. The slip of paper said "wow, I'm hungry!" The picnic tables!

Once again, I hold Len's hand and run there quickly. While running, I tripped over a rock and started falling to the ground, it was like slow motion. Right when I was about to hit the floor, I felt two arms wrap around me, halting my falling. I look behind me to see Len blushing, shutting his eyes tightly. I immediately blush along with him, and we stay in that position. He opens his eyes and we just stare into each other's eyes. "OTP." Said Miku-San as she walked by with Kaito, the both of them eating ice cream. Then, I saw the two walking towards the picnic tables. The clue! I jumped up, grabbed Len's hand, but this time with a blush, and got to the tables in no time. There, I saw Miku-San. We glared at each other with smirks. "Go look for the clue, I've got her." I told Len. He nodded and did as so. Miku-San also sent Kaito-kun to look for the clue. ((I change his last name so he's not mistaken for Rin's relative)) Kagami Len, you better find this clue or I will personally cut you to a million places, and I am not kidding!

"We meet again, Miku-San." I said in a determined tone. "Yes, Rin-chan, but it will be our last! For you will be out!" She started running towards me. In a surprise attack, instead of punching, and that's what it looked like, she kicked me in the stomach. I cursed some words, but they weren't understandable. I got to the ground and started coughing, and Miku looked down to me in mischievous. I smirked secretly, grabbing her leg and making her fall to the ground.

"Ow! That hurt!" Her cheeks grew red of anger. I arose, putting a hand on my hop and pointing to her, looking down to her with a smirk. I laughed at her defeat.

"You have met your match, Hatsune Miku!"
