Chapter 5: Sexy Maid

-Rin's POV-

I was unaware that this was a maid cafe and blushed uncontrollably in the scandalous costume. What was worse is that the manager, a shameless perve, said that my innocence made me "tasty", whatever that was supposed to mean. The boys of the group blushed, especially Len, but the other girls were just in awe. Miku-San looked as if she was going to tear up and walked towards me in a sheepish manner.

"I don't want my Rinny-San in such a scandalous maid costume!" The girl cried wolf. Miku-San wrapped her arms around me as if a mother, and so did the others. I felt like a warm marshmallow! But, it was nice to know they worried about me. Maybe they could be my friends? No, never, if they were to found out, they'd probably never hang out with me again, that's why I don't need friends. I don't need more grief.

"Guys, honestly, it's okay! You can come to the cafe everyday to make sure I'm safe." I smiled brightly, but it only made Miku cry more. "Rinny, rinny, rinny, rinny, rinny, rinny, rinny, rinny, rinny, rinny," she endlessly stuttered. "You're so brave, Rin-Chan!" She again wrapped her arms around me, assisted by the others. I sighed and returned the hug subtly, noticing the boys giggling. A brief sigh escaped my lips and caused me to laugh with them.

It was a good day, or at least I thought it would be.

Many new customers came at the excitement of a new worker, but seemed to be the only one catching my eye was Len. He never left, even when the others did. When boys would look at me, he would kill them with his stare. I sighed and knew my manager wasn't too happy. He was scaring off customers and the cafe got more empty by the minute.

"Blondie! You're on break, get that boy to get out or stop!" My manger yelled at me in a hushed tone. I nodded and didn't make a peep, scared of the consequences. I sat down across from Len and stared him in the eye. Before he could start talking, I spilled.

"Len, my manager isn't too happy. You're scaring off customers with your stare." I uttered to him. His expression looked bored and I could tell he was unamused. He sighed and looked me straight in the eye.

"Rin, you've been here for only, what, a week? You don't know what these men are capable of. They're shameless predators who devour their pray. You know why there aren't many workers? Because most of 'em get assaulted. I'm only looking out for you." He spoke in a solemn tone that made the hairs rise on the back of my back. The silence between us was major and all I could hear was the small gasps of wind that strolled by.

"Could you look out more peacefully? You can walk me home, if you want." I gave a serene grin and he grinned back. "Sorry, I'll do that." He said, and Len followed what he stated. He didn't glare at them, gave them more of a look saying, "look, don't touch," and I'm glad he did what he said. My work shift was finally over and I came out in my regular clothes.

I found Len outside the cafe and met up with him"Better." I heard him say, and smiled a bit. These clothes were definitely more comfortable and were loose to not show off my tiny figure. We began walking, minding ourselves and not saying much. Every once in a while, I would ask him how he is and the weather, but other than that, there was no speaking. It was awkward and I couldn't have been more happy to see the sign saying the street my house was on. Although it was a turn to get in the street, Len kept walking forward. You could still get to it from there, but it became a vast distance.

"Len, my house is down this street." I stopped and pointed in the direction of the location. He gave a signature smirk. "Well, would you be blushy blushy if I told you I wanted to walk with you longer?" The question almost made my face go a crimson red. Though, with my abnormal ability, I stayed the same with only a hint of pink blush.

"Of course not, the great Rin Thousand never blushes!"
