Chapter 3
Jealous
-Cali's point of view-

I woke up to a crabby Tyler shaking me awake. "Cali we are going to be late! And mom wants to talk to about your little 'outburst'."Tyler put air quotes around outburst.
"Ugh, can she just let it go!" I grumbled as I sat up and pulled my hair into a messy bun.
"You better hurry before she opens her bottle of Vodka." Tyler warned me.
I got out of my bed and quickly rushed to my moms room.
"Yes Mother?" I said as I made my way to my moms unmade bed.
"Don't you ever sass me again!" She yelled drunkly at me.
I knew better to say anything else because I knew exactly what was coming next.
My mother got out from under her bed with a half drunken bottle of Vodka and sluggishly walked towards me.
Once she was two feet or so away from me she crossed her arms. "Answer me,"
"If I answer you you'll just continue to yell at me so I don't se the point." Damn, I spoke.
My mother looked at me, her eyes filled with rage and her drunken face turned a deep red. She uncrossed her arms and threw her bottle of Vodka right at me.

Since she was drunk she just skimmed my Victoria Secret slippers, sending the bottle crashing into the wood floor. Shards of glass and Vodka ran up my bare legs. I yelped in pain. "Why do you always do that!?"
"You need to learn your lesson!" She slurred.
I quickly walked back to my room to clean up my legs and get ready for the day.

I walked to my locker to find Ryan standing beside it grinning. "Hey Cal,"
Ryan greeted me with a warm hug. "Hey, what are you doing here?" I smiled at up at Ryan.
"I wanted to wait for you." Ryan kissed my nose.
"That's so sweet!" I playfully pitched one of Ryan's cheeks.
Ryan lightly smacked my hand away. "I know,"Ryan smiled flirtatiously at me.
I playfully poked Ryan's side. "Are you trying to flirt with me?" I joked.
Ryan wiggled his eyebrows. "Maybe,"
Ryan was still hugging me so I gently pushed him away. "I have to get my morning binders as much as I would want to stay like that."
Ryan winked at me. "I know,"
Even though Ryan and I only went out once it felt like we've been going out for months.
I put in my locker combination and shoved my backpack in and grabbed my binders. Ryan took my free hand and intertwined it with his.
"Are we making this official?" I half joked.
Ryan shrugged. "I guess,but I haven't asked you."Ryan had a mischievous glint in his blueish green eyes.
"That's-" I was interrupted by Ryan stopping in the hallway and cupping my face in his hands and kissed me passionately. "Will you be my girlfriend,Cali?" Ryan asked as he pulled away.
I held onto my binders tightly with one hand so they wouldn't fall and I let go of Ryan's hand with my other and grabbed him by his shirt and pulled him back towards me and I kissed him back just like he had kissed me. Yes," I smiled embarrassed by my actions.
Ryan's smile had widened,making his eyes crinkle. "Good because who knows what I would've done if you said no, I would be so embarrassed."
I laughed nervously. "So I should've said no?"
Ryan looked around the hallway to see that a fair amount of people were watching us. "No,that really would've crushed me." Ryan winked at me and grabbed my hand walking me to homeroom. Ryan gave me a quick peck on the lips and he went to his homeroom. I opened the door and saw that my three best friends were sitting at our table talking about something,I walked over and they all looked at me and squealed. "So we saw you and Ryan flirting." Casey pulled her black hair away from her face.
"And kissing," Brooke added, grinning.
"So did you make it official since you two were showing some PDA?" Hayden giggled.
I slowly nodded. "Yeah, Ryan's a really sweet guy."
Casey, Brooke and Hayden all looked at me in awe. Before they could swoon some more the bell for first period rang and we all walked to English in a peaceful silence.
**(end of english class)**
The bell rang and we all got out of our seats and filed out of the door. Just like yesterday I saw Ryan waiting for me. "Hey Cal," Ryan smiled brightly.
"Hey," I grinned back at Ryan.
Ryan grabbed my hand and we walked to Science.
Once we got to the science room Ryan let go of my hand and he walked to his seat.
I slid into my seat and I saw Jacob staring at me angrily. "Pretty boy,What's your problem?"I glare back at Jacob just intensely as he was staring at me.
Jacob rolled his eyes and turned back around so he was facing the our teacher, Mr. White.
"Alright class today we are going to learn about Atoms...." I zoned out as soon as Mr. White started to talk.
Why was Jacob so mad? Are Casey, Brooke and Hayden right about Jacob liking me?Dang,that means I owe each of them twenty bucks...
I was poked in the thigh with a pencil breaking me out of thought.
"Pay attention Cali," Jacob hissed into my ear,his lips grazing my earlobe.
I was about to say something bitchy but my breath hitched in my throat so I couldn't talk.
I quickly grabbed my pencil and poked Jacob with it in the stomach so he would move. Jacob made a grunting noise and he backed away. "Seriously you want to go there?" Jacob raised a dark brown eyebrow.
I smirked and then slowly nodded. "It's on," Jacob smiled but then his face darkened as soon as he saw that someone was staring at me. I looked around to see who it was. It was my new boyfriend, Ryan. Ryan noticed I was staring at him and he mouthed.' like what you see?' I shrugged and then I gestured to my body. ' Like what you see?'I joked. I heard Jacob groaning loudly beside me. I turned away from Ryan and faced Jacob. "What could possibly be bothering you right now?" I hissed.
Jacob took a ragged breath and then he slowly answered. "You and Ryan, I don't like it California, not one bit."
Was Jacob Jealous?
