Of all the things that ran through my mind these past 5 years, there was one that ran through it the most.

"Billionaire Oliver Queen has been found alive" was all that would play across the nation through the news.

I never imagined what I would do when it actually happened. A lot of emotions ran through me when I heard it.

Joy.

Elation.

Excitement.

There was one feeling that resonated with me the entire time. When I heard it. The five years he was gone.

Love.

Hell, even for the past 16 years, I have loved that man. He hadn't even realized but men never do.

As I drove through his gates and up his cobblestone driveway, all those feelings threatened to bubble to the surface.

I exited my car and went into the Queen's mansion as I was greeted by Mrs.Queen, Oliver's mother.

"Oh, Ava. It's been so long." Mrs.Queen exclaimed as she wrapped me in a hug.

I hugged her back as their butler took my coat.

"Is he really here, Mrs.Queen?" I asked nervously.

"I have told you a million times to call me Moira but yes, he's in his room. You know the way." Mrs.Queen replied.

I thanked her as I made my way up the stairs. I slowly made my way to his room as I paused at the door. I placed my shaking hand in the doorknob and turned it as I pushed the door open. All my nervousness and worry went away when I saw his body standing there.

"What did I tell you? Yachts fucking suck." I said.

He slowly turned around he smiled at me. He looked so different but man, his smile was still the same. The smile that makes me fall for him harder and harder.

"Ava Wilson." Oliver said as he looked at me.

"I've missed you, dick." I exclaimed as I walked towards him.

I wrapped him in a hug as he picked me up. I squealed as my legs instantly wrapped around him. He squeezed my stomach a little as he pulled away from me, sitting me back down on the ground. He smiled down at me as he flattened down my hair.

"Five years and you haven't changed a bit." Oliver said as he playfully twirled me around.

"You've changed a lot. You're somewhat nice to look at now." I tauntingly replied.

"Oh, I'm a goddamn beauty, Wilson." Oliver joked.

I laughed as someone walked into his room. Not just any someone. A someone I was hoping to avoid today.

Tommy Merlyn.

"What did I tell you?" Tommy began.

"Yachts suck." Oliver and I said in unison.

"Oh, and who do we have here?" Tommy asked.

"Very funny, Tommy." I said sarcastically.

"Not my fault. It's almost been a year, Ava." Tommy replied.

I rolled my eyes and pushed a strand of hair out of my face.

"Ava, can I talk to you in the hallway?" Tommy inquired.

I nodded as I followed him out onto the hallway. He grabbed my wrist and led me into a corner tucked away by the stairs as he effortlessly towered over me. I looked up at him and he had that stupid smirk on his face.
