Chapter 6 ◇ Getting to know you better ◇

Calum's perspective:
Dandelion goes to the queue to order another drink as he had mentioned previously. Deep breaths Calum. You can do this. Stop thinking about her in that way. You can get through this without accidentally revealing your feelings for her. After a few minutes she walks back towards me with her drink. 

"So, what made you want to stay?" I ask Dandelion. "I feel like I'm still half asleep, I needed another coffee" she replies to me. She sees her friends about to leave and waves goodbye to them. They wave goodbye back to her. "Oh alright, I feel like you know a lot about me but I can't say the same about you, can you tell me some things about yourself?" I tell her and ask her a question. 

"Yeah sure, I'm 20, I am a psychology student, my birthday is 5 October, I have no siblings and I've lived here my whole life" Dandelion answers my question. "Ooh sounds nice, how is your course?" I ask her. "I love it, it helps me understand a lot about the human mind, it's been really helpful for me since I would think my thoughts weren't normal but this course helped me realise they are" she answers me. "That's amazing, you seem passionate about it" I tell her. "Thanks, yeah I've been studying the subject for about six years now" she replies me. "Do you have an idea about what you will be doing once you finish your course?" I ask her. "I'm not sure yet, but hopefully I'll figure it out soon" she replies to me. "I hope you figure it out soon too" I reply back to her.

A guy walks inside the cafe Dandelion immediately hides her face by lowering her head as well as putting her hands over her face. "Who's that?" I ask her noticing her trying to make it seem like she doesn't want to be noticed by someone. "Chase Graven, he's my boyfriend, he happens to be very possessive and overprotective of me" she replies to me. "Oh, you're worried he's going to get mad at you for hanging out with me?" I ask her. She nods in reply. "I say we stay here, it would be less suspicious" I tell her. "Alright" she replies to me.

She has a boyfriend. I guess it's a bad idea to tell her about my feelings for her. Maybe I would have a chance to tell her about the feelings I have for her; but that would only be if she breaks up with him. I won't be doing anything to break them up though. I don't want her to hate me for ruining her relationship with him. I'll just have to wait a bit longer to tell her about my feelings for her. I have been single for ages I can survive being single for some more time. I hope she at least likes me back. I just want her in my life anyway I can have her in my life. I don't think this Chase guy is good for her. I won't say anything to her about him though cause I don't know much about their relationship.

"Can I ask you something?" I ask Dandelion. "Yeah sure" she replies back to me. "Can I call you Lilion?" I ask her. "Why that?" She asks me curiously. "Cause you're young, fierce and deserve to be treated like royalty as the lion is king of the jungle plus it's really close to your name" I reply to her. "Fine, but only if you let me call you Callie" she replies back to me. "Fine deal" I respond to her. "Okay Callie" she responds back to me. "Guess I'm gonna have to get used to hearing that" I tell her and she laughs. "Why Callie anyway?" I ask her curiously. "Cause it's cute and it's close to your name and Collie like the dog breed and you're adorable like a puppy is" she replies to me. I giggle at her reply. "No you're adorable" I tell her. She does her best to hide her blush. "No you are" she replies to me. "No you" I reply back. "Alright we both are" she responds ending the playful argument.

We order another drink each one after the other. I order first as I finished my previous drink first and then she orders one a few minutes after I have ordered as she finished her drink. We both bring our drinks back to the table we're seated at. "I like hanging out with you Lilion, maybe we can hangout again sometime?" I tell her and ask her a question. "I like hanging out with you too Callie, and of course we can" she replies to me and answers my question. She then writes her number on one of her unused paper napkins and slides it across the table to me. "Do you carry a pen with you wherever you go?" I ask her curiously. "Yep I do, now text me so I could save your number" she replies to me. I then copy the number from the paper napkin and type out a random text to her. She gets it and saves my number on her phone. "Thanks" she tells me. "You're welcome, I like having a way to contact you and you deserve the same" I reply to her.

Just then that Chase guy from earlier approaches our table. "Dani what the hell are you doing here with him?!" He asks her clearly furious. "Relax Chase, we're just hanging out as friends" she replies to him. Oh shit! This isn't going to end well. "I don't believe that, he is your celebrity crush after all!" he shouts back in reply. He's going to cause a scene. What do I do? This is awkward. "You mean he was my celebrity crush, past tense Chase, you're the only guy I want now" she responds to her. Her response to him makes me feel sad. "Is that so? Okay then, I'm leaving now and you're coming with me" he responds back to her. "But I-" she tries to reply. "No buts! If what you just told me is true you'll listen to me!" He shouts his reply to grabbing her arm and dragging her away from the table. That guy seems like such an asshole. "Chase you're hurting me!" She screams in pain. Ugh I hate this. He ignores her and continues to drag her by the arm to wherever he's taking her. He's so awful to her. She doesn't deserve this. They then exit the cafe. I have no idea why she's still dating him.

A few minutes later I finish my drink and leave the cafe along with my bodyguards. "That fight that went on was awful" one of them tell me. "I know" I tell them. "We would have got involved, but he didn't seem like he was going to hurt you so we didn't" another one of them tell me. "It's okay, the scene would have got worse if you got involved" I tell them. We then reach the car we came in.

We finally reach the hotel and go to our rooms. I'm kind of worried about Dandelion. I hope she's okay. Maybe I'll call or text her after a while to see how she's doing. I'm going to be hanging out with my bandmates right now.
