It leaks from inside
Revealing truth and lies
Its structure may confuse you
But it will never use you
Broken pieces, thick skin
Will I ever let you in?
Dark colors all around
They consume, they surround
Feel it beating within me
But you will never see
The cracks in between
Torn at the seams
It's not bitter, but it's not full
Never outshines, but never dull
Its shape may conceal
What it really feels
Needs time to heal
And find out what's real
It may be seen as dark
Left without a spark
But it glows more than you know
And its light only grows
Can't fix what's not broken
Can't leave it wide open
Leave room for a cure
That will make it pure
Hold on tight, don't let go
And its power will surely show
Its not defined as ideal
But believe me, it's very real
Its light is dim, but it's there
Crowded, but never in despair
It's bent, but never torn apart
Captivated by this crooked heart
