Sports events were never Violet's cup of tea, especially ones where Supes competed. You'd come for the food and drinks to see some overpowered, narcissistic grown man take not even a second to complete race or event just to go straight back home again. She could get behind something like The Olympics, because the people who compete in those at least worked to get where they were. Supe sports just didn't sound right.
She had insisted to go get a full change of clothes from her apartment after feeling like her jeans were crunching with the blood and other stains hidden in the jet black material. The others agreed all apart from Butcher, who wanted to get to the event as quick as possible. But she was fast. After running up to her apartment and managing to find a new shirt and new jeans, Violet quickly sorted out her hair and makeup in the mirror. It was visible that she was tired, but that was something she would have to fix with concealer and think about another time. Clambering back down the stairs and back to the van, she threw Butcher's shirt in the back as she climbed in, smiling at Hughie as she sat back down.
Of course she knew the eyes were on her as she came down. If they were going to be out in public, she didn't want to dress like she's been killing supes for the past few days. She paired a simple white shirt with one of her best pairs of jeans, with a small flare at the ankle. The ones that made her feel confident while providing a lot of movement. She took a spare hoodie along with her, a dark brown zip up that she could throw on and off easily. It was un-needed, the fashion change and her entrance, but she wanted to at least feel good while she brought down Vought.
Pulling up in the carpark of the stadium, each of them got out the car with their passes in hand, sunglasses on in attempt to have some mystery. Violet headed with Butcher of course after him insisting she went with him. Frenchie went off on his own and that left Hughie with M.M. once again. M.M. had each of them mic up before they left, Butcher and Violet strolling into the main stadium together.
Violet had walked with Butcher plenty of times before, this wasn't meant to nerve her as much as it was. But their cover was a couple going to see the game together, and Violet didn't know how she felt about it. Sure it was just a cover, in case anyone decided they look conspicuous however she didn't get why it had to be a couple. M.M. presented the idea and the rest believed it made sense, so Violet went along with it. But deep down, she didn't know what she felt about it.
The pair managed to find their seats just fine, Butcher placing his hand on Violet's back to help lead her through the bustle of people. Once at their seat they stood with drinks in hand, appearing out of place amongst all the screaming fans. Over the speaker was the introduction to the newest member of the Seven, Starlight, who from the looks of things, actually didn't seem like the type Violet had seen before. While the rest of the Seven looked and acted like assholes, there was something about Starlight. Something sweet. Black Noir waved to the crowd beside her, a mystery to even Violet.
"A lot of Supes here Butcher," Violet murmured to him, taking a sip of her drink.
"Now don't get your knickers in a bunch I got you," he grumbled back, acting like a loving boyfriend by swinging his arm around her "just don't you fucking go anywhere alright."
"Don't plan on it."
And in came Homelander, Violet instantly tensing under Butchers arm. There he was, waving down the camera with his wide smile that made her want to puke, as well as Butcher from the way he squeezed her shoulder. He took a sip from his drink and kept his arm around her. The speaker sounded again to introduce him, as well as Maeve beside him. Violet never hated Maeve like she did Homelander, but she wasn't charismatic towards her either. She rolled her eyes at the sight on the screen, Homelander brushing away some of Maeve's hair. Butcher also made a disgusted noise.
