"we're back!" you yell out

"ah y/n! arisu! karube!" chota yells back trying his best to get to you three as fast as he could

"chota slow down" you chuckle, nodding your head to his injured leg

"i was so worried when you guys didn't come back this morning" he lets out a sigh of relief before saying "i'm so glad"

he pulls you all into a group

"ah chota that hurts" karube backs out of the group hug

"you're hurt?" chota asks

"i'm fine" karube smiles in assurance

"come on let me clean that up" you pull karube to the couch where the others soon follow

"someone radioed in" chota says

"wait someone radioed in?" karube jumps up slightly

"sit down, you're gonna hurt yourself idiot" you pull him back down earning a hiss from him

"don't be so rough" he flicks you in the forehead

"maybe don't jump when i'm trying to wrap a bandage around you" you swat his hand away from your face

"fair" he responds

"anyways, if we go to that pace called the beach, we might be able to discover something" karube says, earning everyone's attention

"like where all the people who disappeared went?" shibuki asks

karube nods his head and asks "could there be an evacuation center?"

"oh yeah and maybe everyone else is already there" you chime in the conversation after wrapping the last part of karube's bandage

"well where the nearest beach?" chota asks

"it's pretty far away but we'll get there, it's just a matter of time" arisu says

"what should we do?" you ask

"we could try to go there" arisu suggests

"chota won't be able to make it with his leg injury" shibuki points out

everyone's gaze directed towards chota

"you're right" arisu says

"both of us.. our visas will expire today" she says

"we'll clear today's game and increase your visa days" you smile at the two

"and then we'll search for the beach tomorrow" karube states

everyone looks around the room in silence for a moment before karube decides to break it

"i will make it to the beach, no matter what" he says with determination written all over his face

"we all will, together" you place your arm around his shoulder and slightly lean on him

"we don't have time to be wasting, where is he?" you start pacing at the thought of chota's visa running out

"yeah he should be here by now, should we just go?" shibuki looks towards chota who was currently sitting on the stairs

"no, we'll wait for karube" arisu speaks up

"if we don't join the game, both of us will die" shibuki says, making chota look to the ground with a saddened look

"let's go chota" she grabs his hand and leads him to stand up

"the three of you still have days left in your visas" she says

before the two could walk off on their own, a flash could be seen coming from the stairs

"karube!" arisu yells to his friend

"sorry i'm late, i had to pick something up" he says

"sorry?! what do you "sorry" shibuki and i.. this is the end for us" chota yells

"don't be so angry" karube rubs the back of his neck

"you don't have the right to say that karu" you turn to him

"us three still have days on our visas, we don't know how it feels to be edging death like this" you say

"you're right. i'm sorry" he apologizes again

"there's no time. let's go" arisu says

shared memories and laughter masks the nervousness and fear in all your voices on the way to the game

"looks like we're here" you say

the five of you stop for a moment to share glances before heading in

"well here goes nothing" you whisper under your breath
