first person pov
it's been about two weeks since the first day i arrived at the beach. it's not an ideal living space but it's not that bad either, and it gives me less things to worry about. i've pretty much learned everything there is about this so called 'paradise'. one of the most important things being who to stay away from. and there's one person in specific that i've been warned about many times, niragi. he's been described to me as a psychotic, malicious, and horny man who doesn't care about others or their feelings. so thankfully i've only ever had one encounter with him and as usual arisu was there to save my ass.
i've also made a new friend, her name is kuina, she was the first person to talk to me when i appeared at the beach with usagi and arisu. and as it turns out, she's friends with the heartless blond from the game of tag. it was completely unexpected to me.. i mean come on how can someone as cool as her be friends with such a cold hearted person who's willing to sacrifice anyone, probably even her, to save his own ass. he always has such a blank stare or a smirk plastered onto his face, it's never any genuine emotion, so i've made it my duty to get some sort of reaction out of him. and so far nothing has worked. i've tried what seems to be about everything, hell i even tried flirting and i can't flirt for the life of me. but as i said earlier, it is my duty to get a reaction out of him and i'm not gonna stop until i do. he's also made a habit of teasing me

speaking of those two, there they are now

"kuina!" you run up to the long haired girl who's currently talking to her blond friend. you turn your gaze to him and place a hand on his cheek, "and hello to you as well" you pinch your fingers together softly, earning a small groan from him

"shouldn't you be with your babysitter? he's not doing too good a job with keeping an eye on you" chishiya says referring to arisu

you scoff at the comment and flick him in the forehead "shouldn't you be face first in a lake somewhere? and he is not my babysitter"

"damn y/n you're extra feisty today, what's up with you?" kuina asks

"my visa runs out today and that's why i came over here" you tell the two of them

"oh? so you came over to tell us we'll finally be at peace again?" chishiya smirks and does a fake celebration with his hands

kuina let's out a small gasp "don't say that, she's like one of the only people i actually like here"

you give her a quick smile before carrying on with the conversation "and as i was saying before i was so rudely interrupted by dickhead over there" you slightly point your finger at him "i was wondering if you could go to a game with me tonight" you ask kuina

"i'm sorry but i was asked to do something by hatter and it'll take me all night to do" she gives you a sympathetic look

"what about arisu or usagi?" she asks you

"they're already doing something tonight" you huff and turn your head to chishiya

but before you could even ask him he already gave you an answer "no"

"and why not?" you ask him

"because i still have visas" he said more like a question rather than a statement
