Hear me out on this one: Dadinnit. That isn't weird I swear just read it, please-

Background: Realistic Minecraft

Triggers: Swearing

----------

Tommy had enough of all the betrayal, backstabbing and malicious damage. The lands of the Dream SMP had become corrupt in the short year that he'd been there. A place that once held promises of prosperity had become a war driven land that nobody wanted to enter anymore.

Tommy only wanted to meet new people, perhaps with souls that hadn't been tainted by the need to be on top like everyone here.

He knew where he wanted to go, and how long he'd stay, but he didn't know how to tell his family. They were all in the cottage in the snow biome, living under Phil's care, Tommy included. Much to Technoblades discomfort, Phil had welcomed the boy back with open arms once he knew that Tommy really had nothing.

Techno had sacrificed one of his lives for Wilbur and they used dark magic to bring the ghost to life, and now they were in the living room catching up with the once-lost boy. Tommy didn't want to be included. He was sitting on the stairs contemplating leaving.

The family of four hadn't always lived in SMP Earth or the Dream SMP, instead, being humble villagers at one point. The village wasn't too far from the Dream SMP, in fact, Phil still visited often.

All Tommy could remember of the village was the warm smell of baking bread and the welcoming and friendly glances of passing villagers. He was only 4 then, but Phil always told Tommy of how the village adored the family and was upset about them leaving.

The blonde held a note.

He never planned on his family finding out he was running away this way, but it seemed like the easiest way to lessen his own heartbreak.

He couldn't stand Phil's disappointed eyes, or the way that Wilbur would widen his eyes at the sound of bad news and how Techno would rest his hand on the hilt of his sword as if he were in danger.

While Tommy didn't even know if they would care, that's how he thought they would react.

He ended up leaving the piece of paper empty.

----------

He left at daybreak the next day. He had a small backpack of the stolen goods that basically consisted of a change of clothes and food such as gapples and golden carrots. He could figure something else out later in terms of food.

He had a new compass hanging around his neck.

Compasses seemed to be the only constant in his life.

Instead of the 'Your Tubbo' compass that had been smashed somewhere in the war, this one was labelled as 'Home'.

Tommy found the compass while digging in Phil's belongings, and it was originally named 'Village'. Not a really nice name for Tommy's new home.

It took a few days of carefully traversing the barren landscape of the snow biome before he came across a peaceful plains biome, with cows and chickens crowding the sun-filled land. Something that Tommy missed dearly.

It wasn't too long that Tommy could see the faint outline of his hometown, a rather large but happy village situated on a coast and next to a forest, allowing for easy access to trades and wood.

He always remembered the village being sturdy against many attacks, and it seemed they had a large wall built around the houses, probably to protect them from mobs. He wondered if Phil helped with that.
