Himiko was oddly cheerful, maybe because she didn't want to grief and she wanted to keep moving forward.

Gonta told us about more letters appearing.

I know what Kokichi is planning, we planned some parts together. I can't help but wonder....what if there's another way.

A few more areas were unlocked, Keebo's lab looked interesting.

Maybe there is still time...

I told Kokichi about the meeting the others were having and he stole the keycard.

And now, we were on our way, to find the truth.

"What do you think is one the other side of that door?" I asked Kokichi.

He titled his head, "The outside world, duh!"

"That's not what I meant...I mean something must be wrong with the outside world...for it to be a motive."

It took us several attempts, but, we were able to reach the door.

"You ready?" Kokichi asked seriously.

"No...but here goes."

Kokichi quickly scanned the keycard and then stepped back.

The door opened and what we saw shocked me.

I was right....there's no where to go back to....there has to be another truth hidden here.

It started getting hard to breathe and before I knew it, we had both passed out.

I woke up and looked around the room.

It was a cluttered mess...yup Kokichi's room.

The door clicked and in walked the purple grape himself.

He grinned, "Good timing. I woke up before you and brought you back here. Shuichi used another of those flashback lights...but we can't be sure if the memories are real or not."

I sat up, holding my head in pain.

Then, I turned to the grinning Kokichi and placed my hand on his cheek, "Don't force yourself to smile...at least...you don't have to pretend around me."

That was all it took for him to lose his composure.

His lips twisted into a frown, as tears started steaming down his face.

Then, he threw himself at me, sobbing on my chest.

I smiled sadly, combing my fingers through his curly locks and rubbing reassuring circles onto his back.

Eventually, Kokichi had calmed down.

"About the plan.." I started nervously.

Kokichi nodded for me to continue.

"I think it should be a last resort, there should be some other way." I frowned, "If one of us dies... well I want at least one is us to make it to the end and make sure this killing game ends for good."

Kokichi nodded, but still didn't speak. Maybe he didn't trust his voice after all that crying..

"I hate this killing game more than anything...it isn't just a game...people are dying goddammit!"

Kokichi hugged me tightly, "We'll end this together..."

"Everything doesn't always go to plan though, right? Anyway I think Keebo's lab could be useful."
