Ch.20 Final trial

~Kokichi pov~

The trial started and everyone was just silent.

"I'd like to ask Shuichi...what is the purpose of this class trial?" Monokuma broke the silence.

"I wish to retry a past case.. I found new evidence, so I demand a retrial!"

"What's the point?" Monokuma asked, "The results of the trial have already been decided."

"What if..." Shuichi hesitated for a second, "our vote was wrong?"

"Nyeh..wrong?"

"That means Monokuma lied about Kaede being the culprit." I smirked, "Could that mean that the mastermind killed Rantaro?"

"But we don't know who the mastermind is.." Maki commented.

"First, I'd like to discuss Rantaro's talent."

"It would've been troublesome for the mastermind if Rantaro did something." I stated.

"Yeah...since he was the ultimate survivor."

"So this wasn't Rantaro's first killing game?" Tsumugi asked.

Shuichi continued to explain, "The real reason Rantaro knew about the secret door was because he had a survivor perk."

"Survivor perk?"

"He had an additional monopad that had a map that showed the hidden door."

"The survivor perk was for Rantaro's eyes only. Sure he could've shared the information with you.." Monokuma explained, "But that's not the same as getting the information directly from the Monopad. When Rantaro died, I took it back!"

Shuichi pointed Monokuma, "Since you couldn't directly interfere, the mastermind controlling you was the one who killed Rantaro."

"I already said that," I stared at my nails, bored, "But we still have no idea who the mastermind is."

"Motherkuma produces spares when the mastermind says 'give birth'." Shuichi stated.

Himiko nodded, "That's right. We all tried it."

"Right, but Tsumugi was the only one who didn't say give birth."

"But, Keebo didn't say it either! He could be the mastermind." Tsumugi tried to defend herself.

"No, you said make instead of give, that was on purpose right?"

"Do you really think I'm the mastermind? That's crazy, right?"

"Refute it, we're waiting." Maki glared at her.

"What's wrong, Tsumugi? Run out of lies?" I teased.

She growled, "Shut up Kokichi! Nobody likes you."

"Wow Tsumugi. You're the mastermind aaand a bully!" I pouted.

"It's Junko Enoshima!" Tsumugi suddenly exclaimed, "Cuz...it's always been her."

Maki glared at her, "Junko Enoshima is dead."

"Junko Enoshima is..."

"Junko Enoshima is?" Monokuma echoed.
