*Jasper POV*
"Jasper, you should go" my therapist urged.
"Should I though?"" I sighing shrugging and leaning back into my chair crossing my arms.
"It'll do you good" she leant forward and smiled raising her eyebrow.
"No it wont" I sighed still rejecting the idea.
"How about I let you take a friend, say, a certain girl?"
"You'll let me take Liv?" I sat up immediately, if I had her by my side my confidence would be higher as I wouldn't be alone, or have to mingle with people I hadn't seen in a good year to make me nervous. She could stand with me and we could chat, I wouldn't have to stand on my own and talk to no one for most the night like I usually would when I used to go alone.
"Yeah, you can take her if you look after her" she nodded smiling.
"I'll go ask her now" I beamed pulling myself up and out of the chair.
"Good, oh and Jasper" she called as I turned my back to her.
"Yeah?" I mumbled only turning my head slightly to hear what she had to say
"You're improving"
"Gee, thanks" I sighed as I pushed the door open and walked into the corridor.
*******
"So how about it?" I urged putting my hands out ahead of myself.
"It's just one party Liv, please" I pleaded pulling puppy dog eyes at her as she scrunched her eyebrows up
"I don't know Jasper I'm still on crutches and-"
"I'll look after you!" I said nearly getting up out of my seat.
"Liv if you don't go I won't, and my therapist, she said I was improving, please just this one party, for me?" I was praying I'd got her this time.
As I looked over at her, she was in deep thought with her lips pursed, obviously chewing the inside of her lip, and eyebrows scrunched up. Within a few minutes her facial expressions and body language relaxed and she sat back in her seat, whereas I leant forward in anticipation knowing she'd come to an answer.
"Well?"
"One condition"
"Anything" I spluttered desperately
"You look after me all night, if I get drunk in the slightest or something happens, it's your fault, I am your responsibility" and that was all I wanted.
"Yes! Absolutely yes!" I laughed getting up out of my chair and leaning over to hug her, squeezing her in my arms she breathed
"You owe me big time you fool" she giggled as I pulled away.
"Oh I know don't you worry!"
*******
As we walked towards the front door I could hear the music already and my throat tightened.
"You okay bud?" Liv looked up at me from under her eyelids as we got closer and closer
"Yeah, just a little-"
"Nervous? Yeah you don't say, just chill Jasper. You don't have to talk to half of those people in there, just me if you want too" she smiled bumping into my side playfully, trying to reassure me.
"Uh-huh" I nodded swallowing hard.
Olivia knocked on the door before Bradley swung it open smiling.
