Chapter Nine:

It has been four months since school had started. Jimin gets more annoying everyday and Jeon Jungkook is literally everywhere I go. If I'm with my friends, he's there. If I am at a café trying to study, he's there. If I'm out on a walk, he's there. He's everywhere except in school. In school, he just disappears from my sight.
"Hey cutie, what'd you want to talk about?" Kai asked.
"Kai, we've been together for nine months, almost ten and I have loved every single day I have spent with you. I told you this before and I'll tell you this again... thank you, for bringing my happiness back. If it weren't for you I would have never experienced the good times we shared and I'll forever be grateful but..."
"But?" He raises an eyebrow.
"I think... we should part ways." I look at him.
"You want us to break up? Why? We've been dating for almost a year and you want to let it all go?" He slightly shouted.
"I'm doing it because I love you."
"No you don't! Otherwise you'd be staying by my side but instead you're leaving me!"
"Because ever since Jennie left you aren't the same! That's why! I love you enough to know that keeping you with me is only causing you more pain because you love her and not me. And that's okay because we don't choose who we fall in love with. Besides, neither of us are no longer in our relationship but outside of it."
"I'm sorry Y/N... I swear I tried but... she just happened to take my heart without me realizing."
"And that's why I got you something."
I take out a plane ticket to New York, where Jennie is now. He takes it and looks up at me with teary eyes.
"Thank you so much Y/N! I love you too but not that way as you know."
"Of course, I also love you that way. In a brother and sister way." I smile.
We give each other a hug and after a few minutes we let go of each other.
"You better take care of her alright? Otherwise I'll beat you up!"
He chuckles, "I'll treasure her as the queen she is. You'll always be my little cutie."
His smile is so contagious.
"What are you waiting for? Go pack!" I hurried him away.
"Right! Thank you! I'll tell you all about what happens alright? Goodbye! Take care!"
"You too Kai."
He began running away and turned to look at me one last time before leaving.
"Be happy Y/N! Don't stop being the reckless little brat you are!" Kai shouted.
"Yah! Do you have a death wish now?! Hurry before I change my mind!" I shout back.
He laughed and began running again and I sat there on the bench, watching his figure become smaller and smaller.
"That was brave of you, Kim Y/N." Jungkook says behind me.
"Will you stop following me around?! You even eavesdropped on my conversation with my boyfriend?!"
"Ex-boyfriend." He took a seat besides me.
"Whatever, you still listened to a conversation that wasn't your business."
"What can I say? I'm quite nosey when it comes to you."
I glance over at him and he smiles, showing off his bunny smile. He's so cute but also so hot it's absolutely unbelievable.
"Shut up. Go stalk your girlfriend or something."
"Hmm... I would, but she's busy with the same things I do on a daily basis. You however.... you seem like fun."
I roll my eyes, crossing my arms. Just then an idea came into my mind.
"Are you doing all of this... to become my friend?"
"So you do have good memory! Anyways, yes. Like I told you back then... I want to be friends with you."
I smirk, "fine, but... there's something you have to do first as a test."
"Anything."
"Follow me."
I get up from the bench and start walking towards my motorcycle.... this is gonna be so much fun.

"Having fun Jeon?" I laugh.
"Please slow down! You're going to get us killed!"
"WOOHOOOOO!!!" I ignore him, fastening the speed of the bike and swerving every car I see.
Kai would be beyond proud to see me living the life we had before we had to worry about our responsibilities. This is how it was in my high school days with him.
"YAH! KIM Y/N! SLOW DOWN!"
"Hold on tightly little girl." I laugh again.
He does as I say, and puts his head against my back. For some odd reason, there's this weird feeling in my stomach that I can't get rid of.
"Open your eyes and look at the view! Otherwise this ride would be pointless."
He slowly lifts his head up, loosening his grip around my waist and looking around.
"This is amazing. The sunset, the city.... this is the best thing I've ever done! WOOHOOOOO!"
He lifts one arm up, holding me in his embrace with the other.
I smile, hearing him so happy and decided to join him.
"WOOHOOO!!" We yell at the top of our lungs, like there's no tomorrow...
