Chapter Nineteen:

"Kim Y/N! Over here" a male reporter shouted.
"I would like to start off by introducing myself." I sigh, "I am Kim Y/N, daughter of Kim Joohun, future CFO of Kim Architectures."
So many cameras flashed, and many people shouted for my attention. My eyes look for the reporter from before to answer his question.
"Please, go ahead sir."
"Were you the one involved with Jeon Jungkook in the car accident?"
"No. As you can see, I am doing well."
"Y/N, did you have or do you have a relationship with Jeon Jungkook?"
"Absolutely not. I have never in my life even considered him a friend of mine. People must have of misunderstood our interactions in school. Personally, as the daughter of Kim Joohun, I would never date the son of our competition, Jeon Bogum."
"Kim Y/N, are the rumors about you and Park Jimin true?"
"Yes. Park Jimin and I are a item, as a matter a fact, we are engaged."
That only caused more curiosity amongst people.
"Y/N, why didn't you want neither your name or your identity to be revealed to the media?"
"I am not a huge fan of cameras and in addition I don't want people to follow me wherever I go, but as the future wife of a celebrity.. there isn't much I can do to avoid it can I?"
"Kim Y/N can you please explain pictures of you and Jeon Jungkook being like a couple?"
"To be sincere, I am not too sure about what photos specifically. Jimin and Jeon are good friends so I was friendly a couple times but never called us friends."
"There's pictures of you and him riding a motorcycle and going on dates."
"How do you know they're not edited? Is the media so easily deceived that you believe everything you see?" I laugh.
The reporter looks down, ashamed of herself.
"Are you friends with Jennie Kim? People said she came back to Korea just to see you."
"Yes, her and I met Freshman year of high school."
"Do you know who she is dating?"
"This conference is being held by me, not Jennie. Any questions you have for her, ask her. It's her private life, not mine."
"Y/N how did you and Jimin start dating?"
"I want to keep my relationship with him as private as possible."
"What are your opinions on Kim Yeri and Jeon Jungkook's relationship?"
"Good for them, if they love each other."
"Kim Y/N, what do you have to say about the people creating rumors of you and Jeon Jungkook?"
"If you have nothing better to do with your life, please go get lost in a forest or something. I absolutely despise people who lie and make false accusations without any backup. Keep my name out of your mouth, I will not hesitate to clap back at people who spread false information. Thank you, for coming to see me."
I get up from my seat, walking away into the back stage.

~ Jungkook's P.O.V ~
They poisoned her head. That is not my butterfly. She's unrecognizable now.
"Are you just gonna sit there and cry? She's your lover." Yoongi encouraged me to go to the press conference.
"She believes them and thinks of me as the bad guy. I have to stay with Yeri anyways, as we already signed a deal."
"You are so stupid. I don't understand how Y/N even let you into our world if you're just going to give up on her like that."
"Yoongi-"
"What?! It's true Jennie! Would Y/N be happy to see him give up like this?! We are selfish! Where do you see Jeon selfish now? He let them take all her trust away. She even threatened to cut us off of her life if we kept on 'lying'! What kind of boyfriend just leaves like that?!"
"I tried okay?! I did everything I could to be with her but... our parents are too powerful. Are you blind?! This house is full of security! The second I am anywhere near Y/N, her life will be in danger! We had one ONE escape Yoongi but Taehyung was smart enough to catch on! What else do you want me to do?! Go over there and ruin my image and hers?!"
"You let them defeat you... is the difference." He walked away.
"He's just as upset as you Jungkook. We will make sure to get Y/N's memory for you." Lisa smiled.
"Let's face it guys, it's over for her and I. My future is now with Yeri until the contract ends. Until then, I'll do what I can to fall in love with her."
"Jungkook, don't give up just yet." Kai encouraged.
"Even if I don't want to, nobody guarantees that her memories will come back. Now, she sees me as her rival so my head should be in Jeon Incorporation. Not in some teenager love."
I get up from my seat, going into my bedroom for some fresh air.
"I'm so sorry butterfly... I couldn't keep my promise. Maybe in the next life, fate will bring us together again..."
I fall to my knees, hating the idea of me being powerless in this situation but there was no other way out.
