Chapter 10

Rapunzel's POV

I cry out when I see Pitch aim an arrow to Hiccup. I let out a sigh of relief when it hits the wall, not even two inches away from his head.

I try to stand up again but the moment Pitch came in he had glued me, Jack and Merida to the wall with black ropes. The gurdians was all hold back by a black barrier and they couldn't come throw to us and Pitch. I see Pitch aim another arrow against me and I quickly close my eyes when he lets it go. I open them,again and see the arrow a couple of inches away from my vaist. He aims two more and they hit right next to Merida and Jack.

Pitch makes an evil laugh and he has a glimt of crazy in his eyes. "Can you see now North!" He says looking towards the barrier and yesturing towards us. "This is how easily I could have killed every last one of your HOPES." He says in a saracastic tone. I hear Jack growl beside me and Merida struggle from the ropes on the other side. Pitch sends down a blast of black sand against Hiccup and Tooth, knocking them both down. Then he continues. "But I'm not here to kill you right now. I'm just here to give you all a warning. I can and will control the universes. And there is nothing for you to do except for joining me."

"We would rather die!" Screams Tooth.

"Oh yes, that is the other alternative. But I wasn't talking to you." He looked at Hiccup, then Jack, Merida and me. I feel how I flinch.

"I'll give you to the end of the week. If you join me I will spare your lifes and with your powers we'll be able to concure and control not only people, we could control the worlds them selfs. Think about it, but remember I am not patience. The end of the week!" He said and disappeared, taking with him all of the ropes and black sand. I can finaly come up to my feets. I feel them shaking. I can't take in what had just happened: No one had even a chance to stop him before we were all chained up. The other guardians collapsed when the barrier they were leaning against suddenly disappeared.

North, Bunny and Sandy runs over to us.

"Is everyone okay?" He ask and look towards Hiccup and Tooth who was trying to stand up.

"We're fine." I answer even tho my shoulder hurts from the fall. Everyone else nods.

I feel helpless. Pitch had taken us all down without even trying hard.

I don't even have powers so what are we possibly against him?

"He surprised us. What we'll do now is to train up your powers and when the time comes we'll all stand by your side." Says North gesturing to the other guardians. I feel a cold hand on my shoulder and relax immidatly.

"And then we will be ready." Says Jack, hugging me.

Jack's POV

We keep on training for about five more hours and afterwards we are all exhousted. We had never trained so hard before but it gave results. Well for all except Rapunzel.

We are sitting at the dinner table. Merida and I are gobbling in food, while Rapunzel eat a little more than usual. Hiccup don't eat at al, he just pokes the food with his fork. No one says a word during the entire dinner and the good feeling since this morning is long gone. When everyone (Except for Hiccup) has eaten we walk to our rooms. Merida and Rapunzel enter theirs and I hear them silently speaking about Pitch. Hiccup and I enter our room but I immediately grab his wrist.

He turns to me, not looking surprised, but scared.

" Hiccup. Why does your back look like that?!" I ask, my voice louder than I mean it to be.

"I don't know what you're talking about." he says looking down at his feet trying to escape my grip. But I don't let go. No matter if Pitch may be more important right now; Hiccup is my friend and I think he needs serious help.
