Merida's POV
The teachers announce that every one need to get home quick becouse it is dangerous this close to the fire and the storm, and everyone who lives far away will need to wait the storm out at another persons house. My breath get cought in my throut. I don't have any friends at all becouse of my temper and I'm basically just bad with people. I shiver and realize I can't stay here and the busses can't come through. My working parents ain't a choice. I stand a bit away from the crowd, closer to the school. I watch around for an alternative and my eyes stucks on a small crack at the schools foot. Probably after the earthquake I think.
My eyes goes wide when I see the crack rising. It turn even with the ground and it wasn't any sign at all after it, the hole is completely out of sight. I take my hands over my eyes to see through the rain and then I notice something. Someone was laying on the ground, right were the crack had been in a pile of water. I look behind me. Almost everyone was gone, escaping the storm. All of the teachers were at the fire men that arrived. I stumbled towards the person. When I was closer I saw who it was. Hiccup was laying there fully covered in ice. He didn't move so I ran up to him. I worriedly patted his shoulder and he started shiver. He looked up at me with his huge, surprised, green eyes.
"Are you ok?" I ask, thankfull with my steady voice.
"Um... Y-yeah..." He said shattering teeth. What had happend to the ground? And what had happend to him? Sure it was cold, but that much ice!
He tries to stand up but stumble. I look down at his feet. The shoes are full of mud and frost. His jeans looked like they were wetted down and then frozen which they probably were. I bit my lip. I knew I had to ask someone if I didn't want to freeze to death. "So... Were do you live?"
"Ehm..." Hiccup is quiet for a while looking a bit scared. "Pretty far away." He said finaly but I could tell he was lying. I don't want to ask why. The only students left were Jack and Rapunzel from class. I knew that Rapunzel lives on a walk distance so why haven't they left? Well I needed to come in the warmth and Hiccup really seem like he need it to. He coughs up a lot of whater and a little blood. I help him up on his feet again and he really look surprised. "Come on" I say to him and drag him along to Jack and Rapunzel.
"Well you live on a walk distance to, why can't we go home to your house?" I hear Jack argue.
"Well my mo..." She stops herself and look down. I could just feel the tense of a secret between them. "Hi?"She say when she notice me and Hiccup.
"Hi, I was wondering... We don't really have a place to go. Could we go home with you until the storm stops?"
Third person POV
Rapunzel's mind races. They can't come home to me, Gothel would never accept it! But can they go anywhere else? She thought.
Merida almost panicked. She needs to get inside and she can't walk all the way home, but why would this be such a huge trouble? Why can't they just run home to someone!
Jack felt really emberassed and guilty. Why can't I just let them now about my mum and money? No he couldn't tell, Rapunzel would probably hate him.
Hiccup looked down at his feet. His father would NEVER accept kids inside the house to see all the evidence of child abuse. And Hiccup didn't own a key. He was still really scared about the crack incident and he could not wait outside untill his father comes home at four.
Rapunzel looked up at the three shivering classmates. It doesn't matter, she just had to hide them from Gothel. That couldn't be so hard in her giant house.
"Okay, let's go to my place" she said.
