The story continues......

“So what’s your name?”

“Dora” I replied calming my breath. I didn’t want him to know I was a Fletcher. He already knew I was someone wealthy enough to have a bodyguard. I wanted to talk to him not scare him further.

This guy didn’t feel the need to flatter me with compliments or quote some poem for me. His carefree attitude towards me was something new. Most of the people I met ogled me, both boys and girls. The worst thing about living in a boarding school is that we start looking for love within the limited number of people in school. Plus the school’s reputation has been decreasing which reduced the number even more. At times like these everyone goes for the prettiest girl in school, the boys and the girls. As I hadn’t dated anyone some girls thought I was a lesbian. The boys went bonkers even at the thought of it. There was a constant war to win my love. I had clubbed the girls as my fans to stop myself from freaking out now and then also I reject the boys telling them I didn’t want to hurt the girls who had feelings for them.

Obviously I wanted to stay alive in that school. Ben and Charlotte fond this very amusing. Still being with them provided certain amount of security. I don’t know what I’m going to do next year when Charlotte graduates. I’ll most probably be the Student body President and there will be nowhere to hide. I’ll be in charge of a horde of unruly girls and if Ben takes up the responsibility from the boys’ side he will be of no help at all. Every day will be a struggle to keep Ben out of the girls dorm.

We were both planning fluent conversations in our head but were too shy to actually talk to each other. We had walked for at least 5mins in silence when I spoke “in here” pointing at a narrow foot road which was barely visible due to the thick foliage.

“Seriously?” he asked.

“Yup, are you afraid?” I asked batting my eyes.

“No but now there is possibility of you being a serial killer too.”

I knew the path very well. Our group had come here for a bonfire party. It was strange that we didn’t get caught. This place is so close to the school and the amount of wood we burnt, the school authorities had to know. The school officials know it has lost its prestige. It is no longer the best business school and the student that come here are usually because their parents had come to this school and they wanted to follow their steps. The school did not take any action on our antics. We might be the last generation of students willing to come here. No way it’s going to leave children of wealthy businessmen, so we got a lease to do anything we want discretely just to make us stay in the school.

The trees ended at a huge ground encompassing a beautiful pond. Sometimes I come here to laze around in the sun and read novels. There is an odd majestic tree right in the far corner in the pond. I love the tree there. No matter what it stayed there like a stubborn asshole. This place doesn’t have any animals. Few ducks or swans would have looked perfect here.

“Wow, you can see the stars in the lake.” Vic was already at the edge of the lake admiring the view.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it? I love coming here at night” I walked to the freshly cut patch of grass to find a clean spot to sit. Very difficult thing to do at night. Still the moon and the stars were radiating a charming atmosphere.

“What are you doing there?” he shouted when I had finally found a place to sit. The logs we used during the party are gone so I had settled on the tender grass which tickled my toes. Hmm this feels nice. I took off my shoes and walked slowly towards him. His smartass mouth was gapping at me.

You look beautiful. I stare at him, did he just say that out loud or in my mind. I hate when I hear things from people’s heads. When he said that my heart raced, every muscle ached to touch him. His grey eyes are so intense. I can’t look away from them. My palms are sweaty; my blush is booming and my legs feel like jelly. The most astonishing thing is my ever changing thoughts have all stopped at him. He is the most handsome guy I have ever seen. He is perfect, long windblown dark hair, straight nose, tempting lips, strong jaw and arms I could stay forever in.
