"Morning, Loki," the first sight you lay on when walking into the kitchen was the god. Not the worst morning view.

"Morning, Y/n, when is Bjorn joining?"

"I'll go check on him now," tying your apron around your waist you peer into the main kitchen to see Bjorn leaning over the counter. "Chef?"

"Y/n? Forgive me, I'm not feeling well," his face was beet red with a sickeningly pale colour behind it as well as trickles of sweat along his hairline.

"You look awful," rushing to his side, you settle him on a stool. "You shouldn't be cooking, Bjorn, come on, let us get you to the hospital wing,"

"Is there any trouble?" Loki opened the oak door and laid sight on the man.

"Some type of flu," you feel his skin before dabbing a cool cloth against his skin. "We must take him to the hospital wing,"

"That won't be necessary," Loki knelt down beside the chef, taking his pulse and letting a cool green glow flow through the man's veins. "Just a fever, should be gone with a day of rest," Loki helped the man up as you led the way to his much larger room; perks of being the head chef.

"Forgive me, my prince, I don't mean to be a hassle,"

"Forgiveness is not needed, I am happy to help," the god conjured up healing tea which herbs you couldn't quite distinguish. "Drink this, rest, and call for help at any moment,"

"Thank you, your highness," Bjorn sips the tea and lays back as you lay the cloth on his head.

"Sweet of you,"

"Healing was a big section of my studies, my mother specializes in it,"

"The Queen is very gifted,"

"She is," Loki and you reached the kitchen. "Shall we begin?"

"Now just mix the flour and salt-" you turn to Loki and get a face full of gluten.

"Sorry," his held back snicker made you scowl. Reciprocating his actions, though maybe more intentionally than him, his raven hair now looked an ashy grey.

"Sorry," you shrug and pour the syrups in the pan, heat still not on.

"You're going to get it now," the bottle was capped and you dashed around the island counter. The two of you were face to face across the oak table. "Get back here,"

"No way!" he moved to his left you did too, mimicking like mirrors across one another, he made a dash for it. Passing the flour, you grab a hand full and throw it back at him before he could get you.

"Y/n!" He patted away the flour with a glare.

"You started it!"

"And I'll end it!"

"Loki!" You whine his name in fear as the two of you ran cat and mouse. Suddenly you bumped right into him. "No magic!"

"No stated rule against that~" He lifted you up, spinning you around making a giggle escape you. "You're a little troublemaker,"

"Ehem," the two of you parted embrace, stepping away with rising blushes.

"Your majesty," you did a quick curtsy.

"Mother," Loki bowed.

"What are you two doing?" She glides over, dusting flour from her son's hair.

"We were trying to replicate a Midgard treat but Prince Loki made a mess, my Queen,"

Frigga hummed, looking down at the recipe. "Seems delightful, but where is the head Chef?"

"Sick, he is resting I gave him herbal tea," Loki quickly explained.

"You're lucky it's early in the morning, though keep it down,"

"Of course, your highness," you curtsy again as Loki nodded silently. A sudden wash of green faded over you both and the flour had vanished.

"And try not to wreck the kitchen,"

"Yes, mother," Loki kissed her cheek, letting her leave with a wide smile.

"Heard that? No mess, Lokes,"

"I heard it loud and clear, N/n,"

Trial and error just caused for more time spent. Diana often checked up to make sure neither of you had burned down the kitchen, and some girls, surprisingly not Fera, glared as you talked Loki nonchalantly.

But it got there eventually.

"Yes!" You punch the air in success, chewing on the treat. "Perfection all thanks to me,"

"I'm offended but I will let you revel in this victory," taking the tray and place the treats in a jar you hand it to Loki after tying it with a green ribbon from the packaging drawer for baked goods.

"A gift from a lowly servant such as I, I hope it appeases your taste buds,"

"Oh, stop it," he nudges you opening the jar for you to which you take a small cut and bring it to his lips.

"You haven't had any, and it is yours after all," he leans forward and takes a bite, his eyes widening in delight. "Approval?"

"The utmost, very well done, N/n,"

"I enjoyed our morning, but I think I should help out with the kitchen to prepare lunch,"

Loki's smile faltered slightly as he nodded. He had greatly enjoyed your time together, never has he had such fun with someone. From banter, teasing and playful scolding to small meaningful talks, stories and random trivia, he couldn't have asked for a better companion.

"Of course, I hope to see you again soon, Y/n,"

"I hope so too, Loki," you curtsy out of instinct and leave to the main kitchen.
