"Sorry we are late, gentlemen," Frigga walked in with your trailing behind, your head lowered.

"You are here now," Odin smiles, but lands eyes on you. "Who have you brought?"

"Y/n,"

Loki snapped his eyes up from his journal to see you raise your head and curtsy for the group. He had hardly recognized you, your hair was braided, dress lacking in stains or patches.

You looked gorgeous to the point he could have sworn his heart leaped from his chest.

"Allfather, excuse my presence, the queen insisted, though if you-"

"Enough, your presence is fine," Odin huffs before sitting in his chair. "My queen, if you will," you merged to the corner and watched with hopeful eyes for a positive reaction.

"I expect honest feedback," she laughs before unrolling the plans. Her explanation was flawless, smooth tone that slithered persuasion right into their minds.

Frigga watched as Loki eyed you from his seat, his brain recognizing your writing instantly. He sat mildly- no, incredibly impressed at your plans and reasoning his mother obviously quoted from your own mouth.

"These are brilliant, my queen!" A duke exclaimed, clapping his hands as the others joined in, agreeing the same. Your smile grew subtly.

"I agree, I see no problem with this plan, wonderful job as usual, my queen," Odin praises, his smile falling however when the truth was revealed.

"I'm glad you like them, we have Y/n to thank for them," growing red from the beady eyes, Frigga gestures you over.

"Is this true?" Never has Odin sounded so impressed, offended, angry and surprised. Nor has anyone!

"Yes, your majesty," you lower your head. "But, it's alright if you change your mind, I don't suppose these are the best compared to what his highness or the dukes may have had in mind,"

"These will suffice, but I will tweak the layout, you are dismissed,"

"Thank you, Allfather," paying respects, you scamper out the meeting room and round the corner, laying your head against the wall just outside the meeting room. "Dear gods, that was embarrassing," furrowing your brows with a groan, your head drops to your hands, shaking.

"Odin, listen to me, this girl is the most brilliant one I've ever come across! She did this in one night," Frigga's pleads were heard once you saw the dukes leave.

They gave a single side eye to you but nothing more.

"Frigga, enough," Odin ordered. "I feel betrayed that you would lie to me,"

"I withheld information, I never lied and don't plan to! Give her a chance, let her prove herself more than she already has,"

"Allfather please-" You could hear Loki start but jumped at Odin's yell.

"Quiet! You have no say in this!" There was silence before Loki left the meeting room with a stern face until it fell on your slumped body.

"Y/n? What are you still doing here?"

"I... I'm not sure... Are you alright? That was pretty intense,"

"Nothing I'm not used to, my dear," he lent his hand which you took, following him down the hall. "Those plans were brilliant,"

"Thank you, Loki, but I suppose not good enough for the Allfather nor dukes?"

"They are petty and the Allfather has a thing for status," he kissed your hand softly. "Do not worry yourself,"

"You're sweet but you don't have to lie,"

"I'm not lying, N/n, that mind of yours never ceases to amaze me,"

"I appreciate those words, Loki, thank you... no one has ever said such a thing,"

His head tilts in shock. "Never?"

"Maybe papa, but definitely not a prince,"

"Well, let it not be the last, N/n, acknowledgement is given when required and for you it seems my throat would run dry and hoarse if I did such a thing,"

"You flatter me,"

"The flattery I give you is well deserved, my dear," He opened the servant door and let you enter. "Mother will convince the Allfather, do not worry,"

"It's fine, whether he approves of my plans or not doesn't matter, I had fun doing them,"

"Self-love, my sweet, is not so vile a sin, as self-neglecting."

"Henry V... but I think it's 'my liege' and not 'my sweet', Lokes," you cross your arms.

"It's 'my sweet' if I refer to you, N/n," your tightly crossed arms fell slightly. "Have a wonderful evening," he leaves a soft kiss on your cheek before letting the door close in your face, the wind blowing in your face.

"What was that??" You spin to see Diana and every servant staring with tunnels for mouths.

"To hel if I know!" you blurt out.

"What happened??"

"I don't know... but I need a drink..." pulling open the servant liquor cabinet you take a good glass full of ale and down it.
