dragons.

it is like a forbidden fruit. it attracts you so much, but alas it is forbidden.

no matter how much they interest you, they are not to be treated as friend, but as foe.

every child is taught certain so-called rules that society follows, and they are taught to never stray away from those so-called "rules"; or beliefs as we can call them. things like, "never harm a lady, for that, is disgraceful" or things like "do not be rude to our guests, we are welcoming them into our home".

every child grows up with these beliefs and it is printed into their brain so that they do not follow the wrong beliefs in their point of view.

so in berk, every child was told that dragons, were their biggest enemy.
you find one, you kill it. it was as simple as that.

but as two children in this village grew up, they couldn't help but wonder if everything they were taught as children was wrong, and there was something other than that.

after all, only one of them gave into temptation, but the other followed not long after.
