LLoyd sat up and snuck out the door as Jay snored as loud as he possibly could. He looked up and down the dark street. He sighed as he thought.
She's had the entire day and night to run. Where would she go?
He look to his left. That was the direction of Birchwood forest.
Or course.
It wasn't that far from New Ninjago City anyway. That would be the most logical place to go. He began sprinting towards it. He panted as he began to think.
Why? Why her? Why did she have to have the element of darkness? Why did she have to run away? Why did her mother have to betray her? Why am I losing trust in her? Why do I have to let her leave? I sould've just freed myself from Cole and Kai's grasp and gone after her. I should've protected her better. I should've gone with her. I should've...
Should've trusted her.

By the time Lloyd reached Birchwood Forest, the sun had started rising, but it didn't seem like it; it was so cloudy. He breathed heavily as he slowed down. He looked around as his breath turned into a thin mist. He heard a sudden whoosh and turned around. A gray ninja stood there, about five feet away from Lloyd. Willow? No. Not Willow. Definetly not Willow.
"Steel," Lloyd breathed.
"Lloyd," He said."Willow's mom. She's being controlled by--" Steel winced and violently shook his head. "The..." His eyes turned purple like Willow's did. He growled furiously and lurched toward Lloyd. Lloyd's eyes widened and quickly dodge him. Steel caught himself on his feet and panted.
"Steel," Lloyd exclaimed."What happened to you?"
Steel grunted, frustrated and launched himself back to Lloyd. Lloyd jerked out of the way. Suddenly, Lloyd felt Steel strike him, hard, which sent him flying. His head hit something that seemed metal. No. wood. It was a tree. Purple clouds splotted across his veiw, making him dizzy. He fell to his knees than his stomach. He felt cold then warm then cold again. But how, When he felt so numb?
He closed his eyes as his thoughts became fuzzy. His father, mother, uncle. Gone. Kai, Jay, Cole, Zane, Pixal, Nya. Gone. Willow.
Gone.

He slowly opened his eyes and found himself in a chair. He groaned as he realized there were four- no five- peope in the room with him. He blinked as he noticed a band was around his head; it had many wires sticking out of it, leading to a computer. He looked at the screen in front of him. It showed nothing but static. He shook his head and groaned. One of the people in the room looked at him, he wore red, and smiled.
"Lloyd." The person blurted. The ones in red, blue, and black ran to him and Lloyd eyed them.
"What?" He said."What's going on? Where am I? Who are you?"
They gasoed and looked at a man in a wheelchair whowas typing on a computer.
"He... He doesn't remember us?" The one with black hair said.
"I told you. He has had a concusion."
"I told you." The one with the brown hair scolded."We don't understand nerd-language!"
"He has hit his head on something. Hard enough, that it caused him to lose his memory."
"What?" He said.
"Uh..." The one in blue and with red-brown hair."Where do we start? "Your name is Lloyd and you're the most powerful ninja in all of Ninjago"?"
"No, Jay." The one wearing red scolded.
"I was joking, Kai."
"He'll remember soon. He just needs to relax for now." A girl said. Wait.
"Pixal." Lloyd said."I remember you." He looked at his friends."Jay. Kai. Cole." He hugged them as they laughed.
"What were you doing, sneaking out like that?!" Jay spat.
"I was trying to find Willow... I found Steel instead. He attacked me. And I...Willow's mother is being controlled by someone... I don't know who though." The elevator beeped and in walked Sensei Wu.
"Good to see you're alright." Sensei smiled at the elevator doors. And Willow joined Wu's side, staring at her feet.
"Willow!" Lloyd ripped the band from his head, ran and hugged her."Where have you been?" He took her by the shoulders but she avoided his eyes."What is it?"
"Willow," Wu said."It's best you tell him."
"I-I..."
"Tell me what?"
"I-it's... My mom... and Steel..."
"What about them?"
"My mom is... gone... She wasn't controlling the whole controller thing at all. She's been... gone... this whole time."
"Oh..."
"And Steel... He didn't mean to attack you. It was the controllers..."
"I know..."
"But he... I can't find him anywhere... I fear..."
"Don't worry. He's my friend too. We'll find him."
"Good."
"Where were you?"
"Nowhere..."
"Birchwood Forest?"
"...Yes..."
"Why?"
"I had to read my father's journal... It's the only thing I have of his..."
"From now on, we stick together."
"Agreed." Jay, Cole and Kai said.
"But--"
"No ifs ands or buts."
"Alright..." Willow smiled at him and hugged him. Lloyd smiled.

I will find you, Willow... Your friends can't protect you forever...
Escpecially not that golden one...
I must keep my eye on him... And seek my revenge...
