September 1, 1991
Sirius accompanied the Potters to platform 9 3/4 , after all it was his godson's first year in hogwarts.
He looked around the station, which was filled with the faces of innocent children along with their parents.
It had almost been 10 years since the final battle happened.Following the battle, the truths of Peter's betrayal and Regulus' efforts and sacrifice had been brought to the public.
The true hero was acknowledged by people all aroundAlbus Dumbledore had passed away in the following few months of Voldemort's death, for reasons unknown to everyone except the remaining Marauders.
Minnie had taken over as headmistress. She had appointed Remus as the DADA professor and deputy head.Sirius was brought back to the present with James hollering "Moony" across the platform.
Sirius watched as James hugged Remus, as Lily kept fussing over Harry, As James encouraged Harry to carry on his legacy behind Lily's back.
He looked at his family and joined them in watching his godson get onto the Hogwarts Express,
"He'll be fine won't he?" asked a nervous James.
"Of course he will, It's where we found each other isn't it?"
They stood together with James' arms around Lily and Sirius, watching the train and reminiscing the future.
As Sirius glanced to the side, he swore he had seen the silhouette of a very familiar person, watching over him.
He knew he'd always be there,
Just as the rest of his family. At that moment Sirius realized,
His brother's sacrifice had not gone in vain.
and in truth,
All was well.________________________________________________________________________________
