Y/n's POV

I stared at my bed's roof. I've been rolling on my bed for hours and I still can't find myself falling asleep. I decided to sleep in the Ravenclaw common room because Fred and George kept trying to make conversations with me and won't leave me alone. I imagined the number of chewed pieces of food they threw at me to get my attention.

Since I couldn't sleep, I went out to stroll around the castle. I was admiring all the moving paintings on the wall when the staircase I was on began to move. It directed me towards a hallway that had a painting at the end. The lady on the painting was quite huge and is wearing a pink dress. I didn't want to go through it but I had a feeling that someone needs me there.

I stood in front of her and was waiting for her to ask me for the passcode, that I had no idea what is when she gave me a simple smile, "It's been so long," she said as she moved towards me, revealing an entrance behind the painting.

"Must be the Gryffindor common room," I exclaimed quietly while pushing my lamp before me.

I heard a burning wood that immediately made me feel warm and at home. I saw a boy that is very familiar standing and looking at the window.

"Can't sleep?" I asked. The boy turned around, revealing an innocent looking boy.

"Yeah... But it's not because I miss home. I don't miss it," Harry replied. I chuckled and sat on the couch.

"Not a good home, I assume," I tapped the couch to gesture him to sit with me. After a few seconds he sat on the corner of the couch five feet away from me.

"You were the girl I sat with on the train," I nodded in response, not breaking my gaze on the fire. "What is your name? If you don't mind me asking."

We remained silent after that. The burning wood sounded louder than it used to. I turned to him, "You don't have to answer. It's fine by me."

I let out a short laughter, "Y/n. Y/n Y/l/n." I exclaimed. "I don't bite. I'm just not used to talking to other people."

"Yeah... I understand," he replied. "Most of the people here knows me and who my parents were, but I don't even know myself."

An arrow of sadness struck me for a moment or two. I looked back at the fire, "Wanna hear a secret?"

He remained silent, "I was an orphan too." when I didn't receive any reaction from him I continued, "The parents I knew my whole life never forgot to mention once that I am not their real daughter. Of course, it wasn't for the worst reasons." I looked back at him. "They always reminded me that I am a gift. Something special. With that, I found family. Something to hold so dear." I stood up and picked my lamp up from the table. "I believe you'll find yours too. I can be one of the first, if you'd like."

I walked towards the door when I heard him following me. "Aren't you going back up?"

I turned to him, "Another secret I'd like you to keep." and with a smile I left the common room. I hate to wake up and see those two ginger heads.

"Would you look at the George."

My eyes widened when I heard someone spoke behind me. Please tell me this is not happening!

"Hello Y/l/n." George excitedly said while he sat on my right.
